This camp was my childhood! Every summer, I looked forward to the week that I would get to go on new adventures and make some life-long friends. All of the amazing people I met at Putnam are still in my life today! All of the activities, food, and people there were incredible. I absolutely LOVED biking, boating, arts and crafts, sports and games, swimming, and the little award ceremony they have at the end of the week. The cabins are comfortable and cozy. Not to mention the AMAZING food!!! The meals here are positively delicious and of the utmost quality. I vividly remember the excitment of eating pastries on the last day. All of the counselors and CITs were so respectful and really made me, a very socially awkward and shy young girl, feel at peace around people. Some of the skills I learned at camp helped me become a successful businesswoman and I can't thank the people enough that made this all possible. If you're looking at the reviews because you don't know if you should send your kids to Camp Putnam, I promise you it will be...
Read moreMy kids have all gone here and loved it. I know the owners amazing kind wonderful people. If you want your kid to have a real life "old school" camp experience at a price any family can afford (they offer financial help to anyone in need as they believe all kids deserve to experience their camp regardless of the ability to pay and their prices for us who do pay are VERY VERY reasonable given what the kids get to experience) there's a bus that goes into Worcester to give the kids out that way the ability to attend without their parents having to find a way to get them the hour plus drive that goes directly to the camp and then drops them back off in the city when camps over. It's beautiful there and we'll maintained. There is nothing bad I can say about this place or the employees or the owners only...
Read moreBack in the almost mid 2010s at the ages from 8-10 years old, me and my step siblings would go to this summer camp. This camp has this best experience to me which was a whole week we went to. It was amazing that we had so much fun with different activities such as biking, boating, swimming, arts and crafts, and all that stuff even with tetherball. I really love this camp so much that it gives me the good experience to make new friends to help each other. We even sing camp songs like other camps normally would.
If I should rate this camp in my opinion, I would give it a 5 out of 5 because it gave me and my siblings the experience of having a lot of fun and make new friends growing...
