The Dunes Club (Private) — Local services in New Buffalo Township

I have played the Dunes Club in New Buffalo many times with friends that are current members. The times I have played a wonderful host and golf professional, Dave Hettinga, was a most gracious and accommodating pro. I, last year, wanted to inquire about a membership and info regarding whether the Dunes Club was at capacity, whether there was a waiting list, etc. The pro, a man named Todd, was quite rude and I could hardly pull him away from his chain smoking extravaganza with another employee, "Carl" out behind the clubhouse in full view of the members. Aside from this being unprofessional I was quite put off by this man's attitude and as a frequenter of Keiser's courses and personal friend of the owner, Mike Keiser, I feel that since Mr. Hettinga was replaced by Todd the integrity of The Dunes Club has taken a decline. There just isn’t a course like this anywhere else. It’s not the course which is Impeccably maintained, it’s not the practice facilities (there isn’t much), it’s not the clubhouse which is just perfect for the ideal. It’s the whole experience.
