I have played the Dunes Club in New Buffalo many times with friends that are current members. The times I have played a wonderful host and golf professional, Dave Hettinga, was a most gracious and accommodating pro. I, last year, wanted to inquire about a membership and info regarding whether the Dunes Club was at capacity, whether there was a waiting list, etc. The pro, a man named Todd, was quite rude and I could hardly pull him away from his chain smoking extravaganza with another employee, "Carl" out behind the clubhouse in full view of the members. Aside from this being unprofessional I was quite put off by this man's attitude and as a frequenter of Keiser's courses and personal friend of the owner, Mike Keiser, I feel that since Mr. Hettinga was replaced by Todd the integrity of The Dunes Club has taken a decline. It’s not the course which is Impeccably maintained, it’s not the practice facilities (there isn’t much), it’s not the clubhouse which is just perfect for the ideal. It’s the whole experience.
