New Castle Area Transit Authority Garage — Local services in New Castle

Worst experience ever. I've been riding this bus from Pittsburgh to New Castle for years and never had an issue until today. Caught the 11:55 bus leaving Rivers Casino and heading back to New Castle. The driver was totally unprofessional and cussed loud enough for me to hear and was rambling on about another driver almost cutting her off and "karma." Totally unprofessional. More importantly, their policy is for people to get off the bus at a bus way full of traffic coming both ways so they can have a layover and you board on the other side of the street. The whole side of the bus way is under construction with scaffolding everywhere. I had to ask the driver where to board the bus again and all she said was across the street and shut the door and drove away. I was not informed it was Gate "D" where I was to get on. In the midst of the construction, I was flagging her down, standing on the curb, running after her bus and she never slowed down or stopped on the bus way at all and drove right by me. I contacted the Manager. She knew I was going back to New Castle with her. I don't think there were any other passengers going back. If there were, they weren't told where to board at because I didn't see anyone. Wasted $4.00 for nothing. This driver was rude from the beginning. Swearing and talking to herself on the bus and not giving clear directions. Maybe a new profession is in order for her since clearly the job frustrates her. As I've said, I've taken this bus plenty of times throughout the years and it was always clear where to board the bus at the bus way, but with all of the construction going on at this time, it's not clear at all now and apparently there are rude drivers who offer no assistance. "Crooked business model. They don't carry change, and simply justify the excess cash on hand as "the rider's problem for putting it in the cash box". I would love to see how an audit of this company would go over... Probably like a fart in church."

It's New Castle and a lot of crappy types ride these buses. You put your money in an automated machine and expect change when the only slots are for ----------- putting it in?

I get tired of these reviews. This company is just fine for what it is. Spectacular? Nope. Crooked? Nope.

If you're going to put a big bill in the change machine make sure you ask first. This was probably someone in a hurry to get crack that just lost their fix money....

So ive had a couple terrible experiences. I was on the bus when we got rear ended by a semi truck. Adam was the driver that day he is fantastic. A couple of the other drivers are dispicable tho ..for instance the older guy with grey goatee who smokes everytime that bus hits the transfer center he tried getting me in trouble for letting a little old lady on a bus with no driver (or running) in the rain with chri s tmas presents .Then the fat black guy tried to make me get off in butler roads park n ride cause I used gold dollar pieces and he assumed it was quarters .The managment however at theoffice are extremely helpful shout out to mark .I ride everyday tho...
