Job was really great and the coworkers were funny which made the day go by fast (That's why 2 stars and not 1) about 4 guys there talked to me the day i was fired cause they were upset to see me leaving, and a couple gave me their number to keep in touch, but if you work here be aware that there are no warnings and the manager(at least in the cutting room) is not your friend and will try to micro manage you which can make the job stressful.
If you do something the people above you don't like you are gone, no warnings, no talks, nothing and they probably won't tell you the reason you are being fired or what you did wrong (Trust me, I tried to talk with my manager after I got fired but she would not respond to any messages).
I was fired about a month on the job during first break with no warning on the last week of the month, Matthew didn't care that I was risking homelessness by losing that last check, because I signed a contract. If it wasn't for me being fortunate enough to get a job the same day I was fired I would be living on the streets right now or worse.
Manager also vapes regularly in the cutting room around the exposed raw meat so I wouldn't...

However, we were charged additional fees (over $300) upon pick up that we were not advised of after asking 2 separate times for processing costs to confirm, and were also not advised when the cows were dropped off of these charges. We also received way less meat than we should have. The percentage of return was WAY less than we have ever received from any other processor. When I asked for a copy of the inventory cut sheet (that they already had printed), they will not release without an additional $10 per cow. Just seems shady when you already feel you have been shorted, charged unknown fees (when you specifically asked multiple times for the expected charges) and they still want more money to provide a copy of a few sheets of paper they already have. Do...
Read moreAfter being robbed by one processor I started trying new ones and took two Steers to McBrides about a year ago. My family has been in the cattle business for close to a hundred years so I've been around beef my whole life. I told the guy about how my last butcher butchered me up hoping he'd have atleast enough sympathy to give us all our meat back. Not even close. I took two to Weavers two weeks ago and picked them up yesterday. My third of a calf was much more in quantity from Weavers than a half a calf was at McBrides. I'll NEVER carry another to McBrides. If they were the only one available I'll just do...
