This is Review #1 - ProCore as a gym

"Mature" is the best way I can describe the experience at ProCore. You're not going to find folks done up in makeup, trendy workout clothes. tripods with cameras filming for Facebook, or any of that nonsense.

What you will find is a solid group of people (owner, trainers, and patrons alike) that are serious about personal fitness and health. You will find a family atmosphere as well- people bring their whole family.

I'm not a gym type of person let alone a group workout kind of person. I've always done the solo workouts in private. I'm glad I put aside my gym hang ups and dove right in here. I've progressed leaps and bounds in my fitness journey. My daughters come with me to the Core classes as well.

The classes have been great and every time I think I've mastered the core class, Crystal tosses in something new that challenges (and humbles) me. :)

If you're ready to ditch the big box commercial gyms and try something local, jump into ProCore. You won't regret it.

This is Review #2 - Trainer - Crystal

Little bit of backstory - I haven't had a great relationship with food and exercise during my lifetime. At my peak, I was 405 pounds and managed to drop down to 225 through dieting and doctor assistance. This year, I rebounded to 254 in January, got focused again, and dropped to about 220 by July but was stuck again.

I reassessed, put aside my hang ups, and dove right into ProCore and chose Crystal as my personal trainer.

We clicked right from the outset. She listened to my story, health history, and what my fitness goals were. We started out with an assessment to see where I was at and what I knew. From there, we progressed to proper form, safety, and general teaching. Mind you- I've never picked up a weight or exercised in a gym so I'm starting quite literally from zero.

From there, we ramped up the resistance and weight as I progressed. She's helped me build routines, taught me about drop sets, and super sets. We've discussed nutrition, meal planning, and forming that mind muscle connection. She's challenged me with homework assignments (ugh pushups!).

When I hit my low points or doubts along the way, she's been there with the right combination of pushing, encouragement, tough love, motivation, and letting me vent when I needed it.

I quickly built up a positive feedback loop after 3-4 weeks and could definitely see the changes in the mirror and my clothes. After 4 months, I've gone from a 42 in. waist to 34. Shirt size from XXL/XL to M/L. I've gone from 225# to 180#. I've added 5% muscle mass and dropped 5% body fat (yay for smart devices). I finally got my BMI into the healthy range and out of the obesity category (a LONG time goal of mine).

Yes, I'm doing the work and committing but Crystal has been instrumental in this journey and setting me up for long term success. She's helped me form a healthy relationship and attitude with exercise and fitness. What else can I say about Crystal? She's simply amazing. If you're on the fence about signing up for a trainer, go see Crystal. You...

If you want to go to a gym and look at yourself in the mirror while you run, don’t go to ProCorefitness. If you want to look at yourself while you pound weights don’t go to ProCorefitness. If you want to look at your butt while you squat don’t go to ProCorefitness. If you want a new you and are willing to work for it go to ProCorefitness. If you want trainers that truly care about you and your workouts go to ProCorefitness. If you want to feel like people care about what you’re doing there (not just the trainers) go to ProCorefitness. I have only been with ProCorefitness for a few weeks but I can say in all honestly the people there are good people, they are people that want you to not only do your best but also be your best. I have major limitations that could hold me back but Kasia (my trainer) doesn’t let my aliments stop me. She gives me a good workout each time I train with her and I have already lost more weight than I thought I could because of my limitations. I know by working with Kasia and other trainers there my body will be healthier and stronger than I...

Had my first training session today. The owner Kasha is very knowledgeable. I would stongly reccomend this gym for anyone who is serious about results, or has been caught up in the normal spin cycle in and out of the large gyms. This may be a smaller gym, however the personal coaching is second to none. I can easily see how the first session could lead to a community that could support my goals without the normal arogance that seems to turn so many off from the normal gym...
