I am on a road trip from Florida to Maine... only traveling back roads, NO HIGHWAYS. I came across this hidden gem and stopped in to check it out, and it was just the type of place i was hoping to find along my route. I'm so glad I turned around to check this shop out. I ordered 2 sandwiches, some chips and got a bag of ice for the cooler. The BBQ sandwich was excellent as was the dill pasta salad. The prices were phenomenal. This appeared to be a true country store, i saw farmers having lunch, truck drivers grabbing a coke from the old 1940s cooler and me with my sandwich and my pup. Please stop and spend your money here, because this place is truly something special. Lets keep this store around another 100 years. That essential void in my life ended today.
What I was looking for, and was bound and determined not to leave without, was an old-fashioned Virginia country ham sandwich on a roll.
And I can’t think of a single venue I’ve been to recently that brought back more great memories of what life as a young man felt like when you were “living right“.
The reason I could never find it without using this resource was because the sign painted on the wall likely more than 25 years ago was completely faded out.

Only 1 site left for the Friday and Saturday we were coming...Said to set up, not worry about paying until we got ready to leave. River views were amazing, very clean, very pet friendly. FREE FIRE WOOD!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! Everyone that we met had been coming there for years. We feel very lucky to have experience such a wonderful, beautiful place.
