8/23/24: Zia Sunrise rocks the lounge with EAR SPLITTING VOLUME. Not just loud I'm talking permanent hearing damage material. Good tight sound and good material selection though. Seating issues mentioned below seem to be cured tonight, and they seem to have gotten over the kitchen problems which were plaguing them recently - good food. 3/22/24: This place sucks. Used to be my favorite place to hear live music on a Friday or Saturday night. No more. More than half the tables empty, yet there is an hour and a half wait for seating. Eating at the bar, 30+ minute wait from ordering until food appears. Medium rare steak running blood, steak and french dries room temperature or colder. Shrimp hot, but no seafood sauce to be had. They do know how to make a caesar salad. Too bad it arrived after the main course. My partner hal some kind of a salad served in a fried tortilla. Tortilla soft, slimy, and cold. Since I ordered tea at the bar I got one glass and then no further service from the bartender, who obviously didn't want to be bothered serving anything but alcohol drinks. Almost everytime they pulled a draft, it splashed or dribbled on my food. Can't hear band at the bar because of constant loud conversation between bartender and the person sitting next to me. Must be a problem with management, hope they fix it sometime. Breezin band does a good show, too bad I couldn't hear more of it.. 4/14/23: Nice music venue with dance floor. Friday 4/14/23 Jokers Wild band had folks from 21 to 80 dancing and having a good time. Some really good dancers in the audience. No cover There is a food menu with food available until about 10 PM. Didn't see too many people eating. Tried a chips and salsa and salad. Neither very good. Chips cooked in bad oil, salsa not much taste, salad had old, bitter tasting lettuce, too much mayo and not enough of whatever else is supposed to be in caesar dressing. I think probably just bad luck to pick the wrong items - there are probably better items on the menu. Inexpensive prices. Good friendly service. I'm' not into casino gambling so take the following on that basis. The main thing here seems to sports book and simulcast horseracing. There are a couple months of live horseracing .starting in April on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Relatively small selection of slots compared with the other casino in town. I'm not big on gambling, it always makes me so nervous at the thought of losing money but my husband loves it so we come here often. I like the environment and the staff. They are always so kind and attentive to your needs. The staff are always friendly. Some even remember me from past times and say hi, which I think is great. It helps me to not feel so serious and tense when I'm there. My husband and I really like the restaurant too. They have great food/drinks and good prices. We were very surprised at their prices when we got the first bill. We expected it to be more expensive than it was to eat and have drinks from the bar. The food is great. We've eaten there several times and it never costs much for two people which is awesome bc everything is so expensive these days. The bartenders and wait staff are always attentive and friendly too. On one occasion the restaurant was going to close early due to lack of customers just as we were coming in and they kept the place open. They made the best chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a dinner salad with rolls for us and never rushed us along or changed from their cheerful selves. We were both impressed not only with the meal but also with how we were attended to even after they were about to close. It was very nice and appreciated. There is a carnival in the late spring to early summer and the early summer has horse races too. I love to go here for the restaurant to eat and I love to get their hot wings appetizer and they always have a good prime rib dinner so we got here for Thanksgiving dinner and they had a choice between turkey dinner or ham dinner but you can get the turkey dinner plus the ham With an extra $4 dollars and if you want pie it’s an extra $4 dollars, was excited for dinner and our waiter messed up our orders a few times so we had to re-correct her and she keeps messing up so once we were done with our dinner, she got our checks because we were with a couple of friends and they were paying their own so she even screwed that up too! We got charged three times on our bank account with different charges, and our friend was the same and my husband bank went into negatives due to her mess up and our friends at the same thing so the last time around the manager came out and she came out and fixed everything and we told her what happened and she told us that the girl was having a meltdown in the back, so maybe she should write these things down before doing it whatever she was doing, but the manager fixed it so we waited a couple days for our bank to clear up, but my husband got charged for overdraft fees and our friend had the same problem also but I’m kind of glad it cleared up and now we’re scared to go back due to that mistake happen so next time we’re gonna be over when our friend is working so make sure you double check your receipt before they charge you because you might be charged with a different total if you’re going in with a...
