Market at the Mill — Local services in New Roads

Loved the vendors and the place buuuut needs some improvements. Parking was confusing and a mess. There was only one ATM that we could find and it ran out of cash right when we got there (early the second day). The drink vendors only took cash. Also, I had taken my elderly mother with me and the only seating was in the food court area and that was extremely limited for the amount of people there. We ended up leaving early because we were thirsty and she was tired. Thankfully, there was a nice young man that was shuttling a van of people back and forth. (His van needed some type of signage though to let people know that he was working for the event). We will be going back better prepared but hopefully they make some improvements (more ATMs, better seating, possibly a parking map, improved parking area and/or parking passes, more disabled parking too). Loved it. Had lots of vendors with variety of goods. Only downside was how crowded it was. Next year should expand more outside of the mill so that there is more room for people to move around. Will return next...
