Menards — Local services in New Ulm

I usually love coming to this store but last night I went to look for things to work on my house and this Gentlemen to help me with the flooring was really nice and very helpful! But when I went to the paint area this 2 ladies that were there were the absolute opposite! I don’t know if it was because it was almost closing time but the First Lady that helped me got a call as I was getting help and said she needed to get that call and went off and never came back! I don’t know but that is just plain rude to me because when I used to work as a customer service they didn’t matter if somebody else is meeting me on the phone or anything if I was with that one person I needed to help her until she was done asking for my help and then this case that lady just left without saying anything and was on the phone the hole time! Then there was this other lady that was pregnant and I’m not sure if she was annoyed or what but I had to look for her many times because she would leave me when I had questions!! Many trips and a lot of frustration while trying to get help. When my mom went to nicely ask a worker for help getting boards down off of a second level. The employee rolled her eyes, stomped her feet, and angrily expressed that she was not willing to help us due to the fact that she would've had to do it herself. We asked for help because we were planning to get the boards, we just thought it would be a lot easier and faster if one more person was there to help us. She seemed to be upset with her work load but it was taken out on us. The management needs to better support their staff because this isn't the only case where something like this has happened. I am so thankful for the New Ulm Menards! We bought a portable ac unit couple months ago and we didn’t have a receipt anymore because it was working so we threw it away and all sudden couple weeks ago it stopped working! We payed cash and so I couldn’t look up my receipt. But they were so awesome and let us exchange it ! They didn’t have the same one in stock so we were able to upgrade it and pay the difference.
