J & D Mart — Local services in New Vienna

We had J&D cater our wedding back in September. They were willing to come all the way down to Bellevue to do it. When they showed up, Diane had a few questions and needed little direction. We had an idea of where we wanted our dessert table but didn't have it decorated or anything. I came back around a while later and Diane had set all the cupcakes up and designed the table with some of our left over centerpieces, and it looked great! I could tell right away that this clearly wasn't her first rabbit hunt. We had a guest that had a lactose concern and Diane said to send them over if they have any questions, she was willing to help them with their concerns. After dinner was winding down, I was getting concerned about leftovers. I told her that we forgot to getcontainers for all the leftovers. She very confidently said we(J&D) have it taken care of and she wanted me to just go enjoy our wedding. It was amazing how much I relaxed after that. After chatting and dancing I looked over at the kitchen and it was dark. They were gone! I didn't even know they left. I walked over, tables were cleaned off (except for their delicious cupcakes!) leftovers were packed up and stacked nicely in the fridge...Ahhh...what a relief! The food was good and leftovers were good reheated. Diane and the rest of her crew knows what they are doing and they do it well. Diane, thank you so much for your service! My wedding was 10/10/2020. J & D Catering & Sweets has a contract with the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium so you are required to utilize their services. Diane at J & D was amazing to work with! She was agreeable to pretty much do whatever we wanted. Our menu consisted of: Roast Beef, Parmesan Peppercorn Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn Casserole, Mac & Cheese, the salad with the fruit in it, and rolls. We also got a two tier cake (funfetti with vanilla frosting) and cupcakes (Hostess was a HIT, Wedding White, Raspberry Lemon was my fave, and Peanut Butter Cup). The beef was just a little dry but everything else was absolutely AMAZING!! People raved over the chicken and Mac & Cheese. There were people taking 2, 3, 4 cupcakes home! They were so moist and flavorful. They do have an extra charge due to COVID-19 safety precautions and needing to individually wrap them, but it was worth it for the safety of our family and friends. They also catered our cocktail hour with homemade chips and French onion dip (a favorite), bruchetta, pinwheels, and fruit plates. I would definitely still book them if I were to do it...

J&D provided catering and dessert service for our wedding. During all stages of our food planning and our reception, they were very friendly and easy to work with. We went in for our food tasting and instantly felt the love they have for their business. And, the food reflected that love! We booked on the spot. Diane was such a joy and very personable. During our wedding, I didn't get the chance to talk to them much but noticed they had a nice setup and flow of people. They also did our desserts for our wedding and we have gotten so many compliments! We had 4 flavors of cupcakes, a mousse, lemon bars, and a small cake. All desserts were gone by the end of the night with the exception of one tier of cake and our cutting cake. Definitely recommend this family owned & operated catering and dessert business for anyone looking for...
