Nancy and Joe are fantastic and they feel like family. I've gone to them for years now, mostly for consigning. I purchased one item from them on ebay a long long time ago which is how I first learned about Porter Jensen--back when they had their store in University Village. I have had Joe customize jewelry for me and he has always executed an end product which was exactly what I had in mind, and for a fair price. I recommend them without reservation. Though a small shop, don't let that intimidate you; there is a no pressure policy as soon as you walk through the door.They treat everyone the same whether you are there to consign, buy a $100 piece or something much pricier. It's a lovely place to visit and browse too as they have many unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else. I don't know why anyone would ever go to a big box store when we have shops like this...

I haven’t gotten my final product yet but Joe and Nancy have been nothing less than amazing to work with. Joe has been super patient and flexible, happy to give me time to think and make it as easy as possible for me to envision my wedding ring. I also really appreciate that it doesn’t feel like there is any pressure to trade in family jewelry. They appreciate the craft of jewelry and are willing to share what they know.

I went in for a necklace chain repair and asked for my old clasp back. They offered the value of the gold clasp off my price, which I refused. Upon return, they did not provide me with my clasp and thus forced me to go again to retrieve it. Less than a month later, the chain broke again, due to a poor job of fixing it.
