On February 15th, 2024, as we embarked on our quest for a dairy farm, Jesus blessed us with a scenic journey along the river, enveloping us in the embrace of nature's splendor. Our pursuit led us to a quaint town where, amidst my search for raw cow's milk, we paused at Market Basket, hopeful for a connection to local farmers—alas, our quest remained unfulfilled. Undeterred, we continued our exploration, and there, on the horizon, I espied a captivating sight to my left: "Beaver and Farm." All I saw were those words. Entranced, I made the impromptu decision to halt our journey and redirected our course towards this intriguing locale. As we arrived, the melody of tires traversing wet ground greeted us, harmonizing with the rhythm of our anticipation. Parking our vehicle, my gaze was drawn to a weathered white door, bearing witness to generations past, a relic from the 1800s imbued with stories untold. Eager with anticipation, I ventured inside, greeted by a cornucopia of history woven into the fabric of the place. Jay, the guardian of this temporal sanctuary, welcomed us with a radiant smile, evoking a sense of kinship as if we were long-lost friends reunited after an eternity apart. While my husband engaged in jovial banter with Jay, I explored the trove of local treasures, discovering an array of delights crafted with care by skilled artisans. Amidst my perusal, I couldn't resist procuring a savory soup and, naturally, a bottle of exquisite maple syrup. Intrigued by the relics of yesteryears adorning the space, I marveled at the cabinet adorned with ancient tools and trinkets, relics of a bygone era. Above the cash register, the gentle sway of century-old cowbells whispered tales of days gone by, a testament to the enduring legacy of this humble abode. Though the milkman had yet to arrive, Jay graciously took note of my longing for fresh, locally sourced milk, promising to summon us when the coveted elixir graced their shelves once more. True to his word, the call came with the dawn, a beacon summoning us back to partake in the bounty of the land. Armed with anticipation, we embarked on a pilgrimage, returning to claim our bounty: two gallons of pure milk, a velvety indulgence of chocolate milk, and a diminutive vial of liquid gold—maple syrup In the twilight hours of our visit, as shadows danced amidst the relics of antiquity, I found myself enraptured by the allure of this enchanting stand, a place imbued with the whispers of history and the promise of untold adventures. As we departed, my heart brimmed with longing, eager to return in the summer and unveil the mysteries hidden within, a journey awaiting its next chapter beneath the summer sun's...
Read moreBuyer beware. Horrible customer service. Stopped by twice while on vacation. They had a sign up for the ground beef special that apparently they forgot to remove. I was overcharged and brought up the question. They told me to stop by and they would "take care of me." When I stated I didn't live nearby, they said "okay sorry for any confusion." I responded to say I guess since I don't live in the area there is nothing they can do. Their response then was to say no refund and block me. Incredibly unprofessional. Guess if you aren't a local they dont care. Doesn't surprise me based on the unfriendly cashier or...
Read moreLove that there is a cute, friendly local company here. Cute and tasty items, in a cute little shack. My only concern is I worry that the goats they have outside aren’t properly maintained or cared for. Each time I’m there I go to them and notice it. Maybe it’s just whenever I’m there they haven’t seemed to have been cared for in a while, but that’s enough for me to believe so. It makes me quite sad. I worry they are there just for entertainment of others, which makes it worse because it only...
