I had an absolutely delightful experience at Cosmic Ties today! As a local, I can't believe I've only visited once before, but this gem of a shop has gained a repeat customer, I'm going to bring all of my friends from out of state that visit here. I was showing a friend from Georgia the mountains from Foothills Parkway and we decided to stop here, and it was a fantastic time!
The owner, Craig, is a joy to chat with and on my previous visit, I met his wonderful wife, Gigi, whose tie-dye creations are nothing short of art. The shop is a treasure trove of high-quality, vibrant tie-dye clothing, alongside an array of local artistry. From paintings and journals to jewelry, there's something unique at every turn.
Being an opossum enthusiast, I was thrilled to find adorable opossum earrings handcrafted by a local artist. I also couldn't resist a stunning crystal that found its perfect home in my 20-gallon fish tank.
I recommend Cosmic Ties to everyone. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to visit this unique shop. The owners' warmth and the eclectic selection will make you a regular visitor, just like me. Next time I head to the Smokies for a hike, a stop at Cosmic...
Read moreStopped by this shop on vacation this weekend hoping to find some cool local art. While cool local art was found the customer service wasn't welcoming at all. My mother purchased an item and the man wouldn't even make eye contact with her, didn't say a single word to her as if she was invisible. She finally tried to break the tension by asking about an object in the store which he coldly replied too in the shortest way possible. It was a really odd experience especially since he was super friendly with everyone else in the store. I wish things would have been different because I love supporting local art and I feel as if I would have bought more and stayed longer if It was a more welcoming...
Read moreAmazing local art. Stopped in on a recent trip and was stunned by the selection of local artists. The inventory is from over 80+ local artisans spanning from tie dye, ceramics, and blown glass. There is probably more but this is what I saw in my quick stop. The owner was so genuine, which is a nice change of pace. I was looking to buy bandanas for my large dogs (20 inch necks, at least). Found the perfect bandanas instantly. It is hard to find bandanas that fit their necks without being too tight. The fit is amazing, but far exceeded by the ice dye patterns. The art is gourgious! I regret not buying more now. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area...
