I found this place through Google and decided to stop there to check it out for yugioh cards. Before I get to what I didnt like I will say that this store has a great product to credit trade in where if you buy some products then they will give you card singles for free. What I didnt like is being ripped off however, what I mean is they have specialty binders that have rare cards in them ranging from 3 to 12 ish dollars and I saw one that I need for my yugioh deck and it was listed as 9 dollars but since they had the product credit value I thought I could just get some booster packs. They were kind enough to give me a little more credit but ill speak on that fiasco in a second. So I got the 9 dollar card and some packs not knowing what the value of the card was before hand. A few days later I come across another card shop and shows me that the same card I bought was marked for 1 DOLLAR!!!! I then looked online and saw that there were so many places with that card for way less money. And as for the credit mentioned earlier the nice man gave me some extra to use next time but since I was from out of town he suggested I get some snacks so I did and when I got in the car and left I found out that almost every candy I got was expired by about a year. Bottom of the line is dont buy the "rare" cards unless you want to overpay and make sure to check the expiration date...
Read moreOk I am gonna write about the stuff that the rest of these reviews fail to mention. I will not argue that the brothers who own and run the shop are nice guys. They would go through hell for their customers, and they like to have the company of being with fellow table top gamers. But there is some downsides to them, or should I say there is a down side to one of the brothers.
I will not disclose his name because after a few times visiting it will become apparent who I mean. This individual during a hosted game night will interrupt the game just to complain and nag his brother about a chore instead of being professional and waiting till the session is over. This individual is over zealous with his promotions and does not like to take no for an answer.
This brother has a no outside food policy in place but they have no problem getting out their own food and eating it in front of you.
This has led me and a couple people I know from ever returning. If this individual ever figures it out we would probably return and offer them our money for...
Read moreTucked away in Newport, NH in a small yellow house, a blink and you’ll miss it, sits a game shop. like a hidden treasure, this small, quirky game store is a gem. The moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve wandered into a place built by people who genuinely love what they do. Every corner holds something interesting – rare finds, nostalgic favorites, and little surprises you don’t stumble across in the bigger stores. What really makes it unforgettable, though, is the owner. Kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their hobby, they made me feel like a guest, not a customer. They took time to chat, offer recommendations without being pushy, and seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing their little world with everyone who came through the door. If you love games or even just appreciate people who pour their hearts into what they do this store is absolutely...
