I’ve taken my car here for about 5 years to get routine maintenance like switching tires and oil changes. A couple of months ago I noticed one of my tires had a slow leak and needed to be repaired so I took it in to get patched. All of a sudden I needed new breaks and an alignment (which was true so I did). Ironically, I bring my car home the night I picked it up and my tire wasn’t fixed. I take it back a couple of weeks later when I had the time and then they tell me I have a wheel bearing out and it’ll be almost $600 to replace… Took it to three separate mechanics afterwards to get their opinions and they all said it was completely fine! Unfortunately, I can’t trust I’ll get honest answers from here anymore and luckily I wasn’t scammed out of 600 more dollars. Not to mention, my breaks they replaced have been grinding and squeaking for about 2 months now. Do...
Read moreI took my truck in on a Saturday so I could get studded tires put on but the Manager turned me away. I had my rims in the back of the truck, arranged a ride so I could get a ride home and took my time to drive to the Priest River tire store just for me to be turned away. The manager said that they were not taking any more tickets and I explained to him that I don't need the work done today but would like to drop it off and pick it up any time next week. Again he said no more tickets. I have been taking my vehicle to Les Scwabb for years in Bonners Ferry, and Sandpoint and they never said I couldn't drop my vehicle off for the weekend. I'm not sure if that is a new policy or just because...

I stopped at a local shop and they could not handle the rim size and suggested Les Schwab. Well we made it there and within 5 minutes they were fixing the tire. The staff was very friendly and helpful. 10 minutes later we were ready to go and didn't spend a dime! I guess they know it more important to gain a new customer than to get $10 for repairing a tire. And that was a good move on their part since we are in the market for 2 sets of new tires.... and guess where we will be...
