Arubacat Cat Furniture — Local services in Newton

I first ran across Arubacat Cat Furniture in September of 2003, when I attended a show at which the owner was selling his furniture and other products. I don't recall the exact date I bought my first piece of cat gurniture, but in the twelve years since then I have purchased at least four cat trees and other assorted scratching posts and such.

I find the furniture to be well-made and very sturdy. The pieces hold together very well, and the carpeting and sisal are very sturdy and wear well. The pieces are heavy, which is a good thing, and they don't tip when my cats jump on them. Thjey are safe, as well: any screws, bolts and staples are buried. The edges of the carpeting is also folded under, minimizing raveling. I have bought other scratching posts over the years, and his are the best. They come in a very good assortment of sizes and colors, and the owner himself is very accommodating.

I intend to buy another piece of furniture from him when I see him (hopefully)...

The absolute best cat furniture... if you can find it. Sold at cat shows a handful of times throughout the year, and I know of one pet store that sells some basic pieces. I believe the furniture is still made by hand in NH, which explains the fairly limited availability. We have a very large tower with several curved shelves and a wooden house, which we purchased almost 30 years ago. They don't even make this style any longer. It still looks practically brand new, and we have always had from 4 to 10 cats at a time. We only had to redo one of the scratching posts with new sisal rope after all these years. The price is quite hefty, but so is each piece. They are heavy-duty and perfectly balanced for several cats to play and sleep on at once. We never regretted...

We have several pieces of Arubacat Cat Furniture in our home. We have a a small horizontal scratcher, a vertical scratcher, and a cat tree. Our cats love each piece. We do, too. The cats love the material: heavy duty carpeting and thick rope sisal. We like knowing we have furniture with a solid base and platforms, that the cats are highly unlikely to topple the tree over with momentum. Even visitors comment on how well built and used the Arubacat pieces we have are.

If you've seen the prices of Arubacat, you may think "I can buy several similar pieces for the cost of one Arubacat piece." I won't lie: you can find less expensive pieces. If you want the best materials and some beefy construction, Arubacat is where...
