Baker Furniture & Carpet — Local services in Newton

We made a very large purchase with Rosanne from Baker Furniture for our new home. From the start the service was awful but because of the type of furniture and pricing we decided to proceed anyway. During the purchase we were:

1. Accused of being scammers because of the size of the order
2. Were lied to multiple times about fees for using a debit card, actual cost of the product and additional fees for shipping that were not disclosed up front.

Upon furniture arrival two of the nightstands we ordered were wrong, completely different color. Upon calling Roseanne were we told that we must have ordered the wrong nightstands pushing all blame on us. After waiting almost 4 weeks for the correct ones they are now trying to charge us for the correct nightstands because we have not donated the old ones yet.

If you are looking for a store that values their customers and provides topnotch service, this is not the store for you....

Pushy Salesman! Even after asking him to stop talking. He wouldn't even give a chance to browse the store without trying to push more of his cheap sales pitch. Will never step foot in that store ever again! He just secured that companies financial loss.

Thank you for trying to satisfy only yourself on your reviews. I see you only pick and choose at your discretion on your ridiculous reasonings. This does not stop your company from being a business that I will never shop again or even promote to...

Purchased a very nice sectional but took over 2 weeks for them to deliver due to all 3 trucks being out of commission mechanically. We had to call them for updates on our order and their vehicles and was met with an attitude. A very stark contrast to how we were treated before the transaction.
