September 2024 UPDATE: I've lowered my rating from a 5 to a 2. I'm not sure if the store has new management or what’s going on, but the prices seemed to have skyrocketed for expired or damaged items. For instance, taco seasoning has jumped from 59 cents to $1.15 per pack. I've also noticed that many products are priced the same or even higher than at chain stores. For example, Kroger-brand beef jerky pack costs the same here as it does at Dillions, but the ones here are tough because they are expired. Cereal from Aldi, usually priced at $1.79, is priced at $2.09 here. A pie pumpkin that costs $4 at Dillon’s is $8 or more, and 6 pints of blueberries are between $12-$15 but I was shocked to see they have it priced at $22. To top it off, the same pack of Mason jars for canning is $12 at Walmart and is priced at $22 here. It's disappointing to see that this store is no longer a bargain store; it seems they've become greedy or they are not price-checking what the original value is. It is not very enticing to buy items here if I can get them elsewhere cheaper, fresher, or not damaged.
-Original 5-star rating from 2021: It's an awesome place for bargains, unique finds, and more. Customer service was excellent. I'll make this a...
Read moreI wish I had heard of this place sooner! A fantastic grocery option with unbelievably good prices and a selection that fits most households. They've got a nice mix name-brand and more local items. I was surprised that they even had a small section for over-the-counter stuff if you need something small. The baking ingredient section is something I'll definitely be checking out in the future. The produce and meats can sell out pretty fast, but they're just that good and fresh! Compared to bigger or chain groceries, it's definitely smaller but that helps navigation and finding what you're looking for take less time. Be ready to bag your own stuff though, I got too used to bigger chain grocery stores and was caught off guard my...
Read moreIt's always an adventure going to this store. Since it is a Mennonite (?) run store, as well as a discount grocery store, it can be a surprize what you might find since it's not a full service grocer. This is a gem if you choose to buy meats here, esp. their handmade sausages, dried spices, bullion powders and other handmade and packaged items, as they are always high quality items. They also have other discounted items in boxes, priced to sell for personal hygiene, over the counter medicines and vitamins. If you see it in one visit, it may be out of stck when you return. So, if you see something for a great price, snatch it up, because there's a good chance it will be sold out...
