We arrived at 11:15 for our 11:52 tee time and were told the course was ready for us right away. Upon closer inspection, we realized that we have the whole course to ourselves! Great price for a private golf experience! It was hard to get distances to the tee since this course has no GPS loaded on the GHIN app, but it was not much of a problem because most of the time you couldn’t find the ball in the fairway. Adding to the distance challenge was hitting the ball off the fairway rough and the actual rough was exciting to play from due to the 7” tall grass housing cute bunnies and various wildlife attractions. Suntanning was free as you address your ball from the beach in the middle of the fairways. I wasn’t concerned much when I drove the ball there because the grass stains left on the ball from the non-existing ball washers made it easy to spot. After using the sauna-like course restroom, the fairway sprinkler system provided a refreshing shower. Finishing my shower, the breeze gently dried my clothing on the scenic golf cart ride throughout the coastal pathways. Finally arriving at the greens, I reminisced of my late grandmother and her 1970’s shag carpet with bare spots due to years of wear. As my ball hopped and skipped over the fuzzy green surface, I remembered I was on stroke 6 due to the challenges presented from the jungle preceding the hole. Turning the cart back to the clubhouse after 18 holes, I was nothing but smiles after shooting 23 over my normal score. Boy oh boy! What a challenge that was! 5 stars for the most fun I’ve had with my clothes on! We...
Read moreGot a great deal on GolfNow to play 18 holes. Played 2 of the 3 nine hole courses, which were basically the same; lots of dogleg holes, some water, sand traps, & narrow fairways nestled in amongst numerous houses with melodies of screaming children and barking dogs in the air. One must be very careful not to hit these homes as they are not protected and are very close to the course. I must mention the one hole with a very beautiful view of the bay. It was a nice surprise which showed up around the 7th or 8th hole of the course that I believe was called the Bay. Tee boxes are marked by plastic markers which are sometimes hard to find. A couple of the red boxes were lined up directly to hit into a group of trees. The course is suitable for intermediate players and may be considered challenging for beginners as you will likely end up hitting off a lot of sandy-mulch areas as opposed to grass. Very nice friendly staff &...
Read moreBest part of Bluewater is the extra wide parking spaces. After that it's a awful course. Trees are overgrown not trimmed. Tee boxes on the tips are like a moon scape. Greens are marginal. Fairways are a mix of sand, hard sand, some different types of grass and weeds. They sold the driving range and 1st hole. Then chopped up other holes. Nothing tells you which ones on your watch. Do not use your golf GPS. Course is out of date. If your an average to good golfer, you'll hate this course. No cart girls/boys. Why. Because the players who use the course don't buy from them, don't tip and bring their own beer. Ran into a 8 some on the course. Eight (8)!!! No controls. Course has zero money spent on it. Fairways not mowed. List is long. We left after 8 holes. Had enough. Flipped over immediately that day to Rocky Bayou, which was fantastic. You've been...
