Let's start out with the absolute beautiful ambiance of a drive to get to this place. Sadly, it was always foggy and driving at night is a total nightmare. But! We visit often and knew what we were getting into. Summer, spring and fall are absolutely gorgeous views while driving. Winter? No so much. Unless you're lucky enough to have it snow. In which case, a four wheel drive is a MUST!

Now to the home. It's small but comfy. Only has one bathroom and would make for some uncomfortable confrontations if everyone has to use the restroom at once. The master bedroom is a lovely room, though the window coverings are much to desire. It often felt like someone was watching us as we slept. Though during the day it allowed light to naturally fill the room.

There are small buildings to explore and with the creek running right through the property, it made this stay relaxing. We often found deer right outside the door. The only complaint I would make is the other beds. The upstairs bed which we originally wanted to sleep on, was hard as a rock.

Please Please bring a four wheel drive if you stay during the winter or rainy seasons. The road is very traitorous if slicked or iced over. They close the roads often, and cell service is not the best. So plan on longer detours if weather conditions are bad. It's a beautiful place and wondrous views, and the roads are fun to drive in the day light. Just the final warning. Be safe and drive safe.

What a gorgeous find! Our group of best friends of 20+ years came together with a few kids in tow to enjoy our dear friend's performance at a local theatre. This was the perfect location...near to the theatre, restaurant, and grocery store, and yet tucked away in nature. The view of the horse farm and Marsh Creek is worth the choice alone. But the incredible pool, fire pit, and swingset for the kids were icing on the cake. We enjoyed coversation around the fire making smores, and floating on the rafts that come with the pool! The front porch has comfortable rockers to enjoy the view of Marsh Creek with a cup of tea. The bedrooms are so welcoming with cozy blankets draped at the ends of the beds, and plenty of clean white towels and washcloths to cover all the guests for the entire stay. There is a sunroom with windows on all 3 sides...perfect for stealing away for some quiet time. Plenty of parking for 2 cars in the garage and a large parking pad. We enjoyed walking down the entrance road to Marsh Creek after meals....to enjoy the peaceful horses and the sound of cicadas. Landon, our host, is always available for questions and is so helpful and accomodating. My only suggestion would be to switch to a true "Free and Clear" detergent, as I am sensitive to chemicals and the detergent used had a scent. But even this is not enough to keep me from a RAVE 5-star review. I am thrilled we found this gem of a home and can't wait to return and make some...

We just rented the Care Bear Cabin in Blakeslee, PA and were so impressed by all of the thoughtful details that the owners thought to include in our rental. They had kayaks, beach supplies, a wagon, and an entire game room filled with games and fun activities! By the waterfront, they had corn hole, horse shoes, and supplies for the fire pit.

We were especially impressed by the small clever details that make such a difference in daily life. They left us laundry detergent, coffee, an assortment of spices, oils, and every little item you might need on a vacation (even birthday candles!)

They were incredibly responsive, too. When we asked if we could have a few more chairs, they had brand new chairs delivered to the door at our arrival. When we asked for suggestions for the 4th of July fireworks, they sent me a list of local events.

I've rented many properties through the years, but its rare to walk into a rental and know that you won't have to rush back to the store for every little thing. I was surprised at how wonderful it felt to have someone think of these things in advance. It made us feel well cared...
