Worldwide Diesel — Local services in Niles Charter Township

I can not even give this company 1 star as their $12,000 engine, that had supposedly been run, failed within 1 week of installation. They did not care that they had sold us a bad engine and offered no help and their customer service after this incident was absolutely disgusting and non existent. Struggled to get a reply from anyone and we were just bounced around. They even deducted money from the core exchange I would steer clear of this company even if they were the last company on the planet. WORLDWIDE?????? definitely not.

In answer to the Owners response. We were never contacted by the owner and the issue was pushed off by the sales person as no one wanted to take responsibility for anything. We had to chase everyone who was dealing with this even the with regard to our core refund. We told them that the pistons had disintegrated and all we were told was that only the crank or block were under warranty even though the crank is connected to the pistons. The engine, although it ran, only ran for 500 miles. You would hope that when you spend $12K on an engine it would last you more than 500 miles and that you would get some help from the sellers. We couldn't afford for our truck to me down while Worldwide Diesel took their time figuring out what was wrong and what they wanted to do about it, if anything. As I said at NO POINT did the owner try to contact us via email or phone, in fact every time we called it went to voicemail and we had no return call. So I would never give this company...

DO NOT BUY AN ENGINE FROM THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not inspect the engines before they are shipped!!! This has been a long on going situation, we originally purchased a 6.7 L Cummins from this company which I was promised by the sales rep Steve would work for my application. It was going in a forklift, but before we could put it in we had to spend several hours doing modifications so that it would fit. Before we got it in the forklift we tested to see if it would turn over, it would not. So we sent the engine back to WWD so they could either reimburse us, or send a new engine. Instead of working with us Greg (the owner) called and chewed me out for sending his engine back with the head off. After going back and forth for weeks they called and said there was nothing wrong with the engine and that it turns over fine. They sent the engine back to us, we spent another 10 hours putting the engine into the forklift only to find out it does not have any compression. After taking the engine out of the forklift we took apart the heads only to find that they were completely rusted. All they did was break the rust loose, destroy the rings and valves then sent it back to us. (Making us pay freight back and forth). I bought a motor from Worldwide Diesel in October 2020 and the motor was sent in horrible condition, so please don’t be fooled by the pictures of the engine. Once installed my mechanic found the head gasket was blown. I contacted Worldwide to let them know the problem and they did send the part and I had to pay for for labor after paying labor for the install of the motor. Week after week after everything was assembled the motor is still building up too much pressure and blowing coolant out of the overflow tank and I got a second opinion and found out that the block is bad and the liners in the block aren’t set correctly. My hands are tied at this point and cannot throw anymore money into this investment. Kathleen said that my warranty was fulfilled when they sent the head gasket kit, so I’m stuck at this point. I read a lot of reviews like you guys are doing and they have mixed reviews bad and good and I took a chance with them because you can’t please everyone. But once they have your money you are on your own so, I would advised anyone to stay away from this place if you want a good running engine. Worldwide diesel you did everything to get my business and leave me hanging like this.
