Super disappointing customer service. Not only is it impossible to reach a human (no phone or chat available), but they take days to respond to emails sent to support (at this point it may take weeks). We were shipped the completely wrong product from what we ordered. We emailed them 5 times in the last 48 hours - not one response at all. If you take that chance and business with them, just pray you won't need support. UPDATE: Ultimately the customer service team did respond at the 2 day mark and addressed the issue to our satisfaction, which was very much appreciated. It seems that they did not receive the first two of five messages we sent them through their support form online. That being said, we still feel that at a minimum there should be a way to chat online for immediate help, if phone support is not possible for the company. However, it seems that ever since they closed their doors in 2020 because of the pandemic, their customer support and inventory have been lacking. I really miss local pickup! As of late, I rarely find what I need in stock on their storefront and from the recent reviews, customer support has gone down hill. Which is a real shame as this was the main reason that SparkFun stood out from the competition. I've also noticed that the hookup guides are missing or not complete for their latest products. And some of their newer products are no longer OpenSource. Also, I've applied for a few positions, and I've never heard back from them ever. At the very least, I'd expect an email when the position is filled. I've had great experiences with SparkFun in their early years, so it pains me to rate them...
Read morebeware, once they got your money that's it. I spent almost $1000 buying gps equipment from them and they refused to post procedures on how to use them. I pointed out how wrong one of their actual posted procedures was and then posted the correct procedure and they banned me from their support forum for 3 years for "spreading dissent". head on over to the ardusimple website, they have much better products and they help you learn how to use them. I should also add that they themselves admitted they weren't able to get the procedure to work when they tried it. We aren't talking about a $15 esp32 i bought from ali express, I paid almost $1000 for rtk-gps equipment and still can't accurately determine a base station position with it, not a lot of hope for ever doing it...
