We had tee time at 12:42 gave up our cart bc they needed 1 we needed 2. People Very nice as we spent our money on some drinks. Got to the first hole didnt start until almost 2 because it was backed up. It was so packed finding a spot to park was hard. We let 2 people pass because i hadnt played much, my husband hadnt played in awhile so getting his swing back, and 1 of my cousins 1st time really golfing. We got to the 6th hole and had a harder time and had a group on our tail so we skipped to come back at the end because there was so many people there. We reached the last hole before 7 pm and circled back to hole 6 which was by the parking lot around 6:45ish. The old man or manager came up on a golf course where we were and said we need to leave very rude. And we explained why we circled back and he said no you gotta go youve been here to long and i said we just golf slow because we are beginners and he just starred at us and my husband asked if he was serious. And he said yeah leave now. So rude the whole time as a young couple was sitting in the parking lot of a cart some people were still playing around on the last couple holes and another young couple walked up on the same hole on the other side of the little bridge and started hitting more balls. The old man ran off up top And never said a word to anyone else. I get if we were being 1 of those people but we had reached technically our last hole just before 5 hours when its typical between 2 to 6 hours. I wont ever go back. Great location on the James River! Great price for 18 and cart! We had a foursome and a 10:15 tee time! We had a 5th person wanting to accompany us! We called to see if that was allowed during the weekdays and was told no, only in the afternoon! On the 1st tee there was a five some teeing off that we followed for 18 holes! Also after we played 4 holes we came by the clubhouse and a single walker jumped in behind us! She was hitting two balls, then decided to jump between us and the five some! She played about 5 holes and jumped in front of the guys playing the back side and went back to the clubhouse! They need some stricter rules or a marshal! Used to be my favorite course in the area, however I'm guessing there has been a change in ownership over the last couple years. Prices have shot up and they seem more worried about tournaments then public golf. The last time I went I tried calling in advance but couldn't get through to anyone. Drove 25 minutes out of my way to be told in a rude arrogant fashion that an hour and a half wasn't enough time to play 9 holes on an empty course and there was a tournament starting so i had to go elsewhere (mind you noon on a Friday). Probably another wealthy Californian moving to Missouri and buying this business, based on the way he talked down to me!...
