AWFUL experience. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! ZERO quality. I cannot stress enough how appalled I am at this establishment AND the attitude of the owners. MUCH MUCH more concerned about HIDING behind the "All sales final" on receipt than ANY level of customer service/satisfaction. I purchased a $30 garter for my daughter's prom with a jeweled broach on it. When we got home my daughter was SO excited to open it and immediately upon doing so the broach FELL OFF! I was shocked to see that it wasn't even sew on...but instead was SUPER GLUED! I instantly contacted the store and was met with a defensive owner who was more interested in his "all sales final" on the receipt than the DEFECTIVE item that was sold to me by HIS establishment. Offered to give me another but when I stated that I was not interested in another poorly made item that would likely have the same things happen and would prefer a refund I was met with more defensiveness and informed again "all sales final." Apparently this means even items that are NEVER used and are DEFECTIVE right out of the packaging. I will NEVER visit this establishment again and STRONGLY advise others to drive to Merrillville to do their wedding, prom, quinceanera, and event shopping. BUYERS BEWARE.
NOTE: The offer to refund was ONLY made after numerous negative reviews have been left. Was told explicitly that all sales were final and I could exchange only. I wouldn't return to this store...I'd rather eat the $30 dollars. As far as the staff goes they were friendly and attentive. My buyers beware is aimed at YOU. The fact that your first response to me after I immediately contacted you to inform you that the item was defective RIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE and how disappointed I was at the quality was to tell me in no uncertain terms that all your sales were final. As a business woman I COMPLETELY understand the need to put this type of rule in place due to those unfortunate few that abuse the system but this certainly was NOT the case and you clearly knew that. Instead of making ANY attempt to understand and resolve the issue in a manner that is both professional and pleasing to the customer you stood on your "all sales are final" and only offered to exchange...NOT refund. In the excitement of buying a dress for my stepdaughter, I personally didn't realize that my transaction couldn't be refunded if I need be. No one expressed that to me. The register rang up over FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. For a dress, shoes and a belt. I was shocked, quite dumbfounded and handed my card. I figured, I'd take the dress home and we'd return it on Monday or whenever they open. Not even knowing yet my stepdaughter would express to me later that she didn't like it, her father didn't like it, and didn't like the PRICE. SO, I contacted the store. As you could imagine.. "ALL SALES ARE FINAL"... Was what I heard.. I pleaded, begged a little, explained my situation.. They are more concerned with keeping their money than making a customer happy. Told me that a belt and shoes were unsanitary and against the law to return? That sounds made up. POOR customer service. WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS STORE NOR RECOMMEND to ANYONE!!!!!!!!! Read moreI bought almost a $800 prom dress and I wanted to see if I could exchange it for another one because I was second guessing it and so I called and asked before hand if I could exchanged it and they told me “oh yeah we’ve done that before” so I was so excited. The next day I go in and they told me I couldn’t. What the hell is that? This lady just kept telling me oh no returns no returns but literally I called and asked if I could and they said yes. I’m not hating on the dress it’s just the fact that they told me I could and I went and wasted my own time just to get let down and you would think spending that much money for a prom dress and helping out their paychecks that maybe I could have exchanged it. They also told me that they don’t know where the dress goes after it leaves the store and that’s another reason I couldn’t exchange it. That dress was sitting in my closet for 3 days so yeah I guess it’s just no good to them anymore since it sat in my closet for 3 days.
