Finally after 10 years we have a Bass Pro Shop!! Very busy as it’s two weeks away from Christmas, but it’s a big enough store that even busy it wasn’t too crowded. Plenty of employees to help you out if you are trying to find anything. Great selection of hunting and fishing equipment as well as clothing, boats, all terrain vehicles and everything in between. Store was well stocked and plenty of sales to boot! This one is more fishing themed that other Bass Pros that I have visited. To be expected we are between the St. John’s River and the Atlantic Ocean. Loved the displays on the walls as each one is Old Florida. I need to go back a second time to take everything in and explore more!! As usual Bass Pro gives us veterans a 10% discount! Go to the new Saint Augustine Bass Pro! Florida Man Approved!!

TL;DR: Bass Pro Shop in St. Augustine is a well-organized store with a cool kids' carousel and a beautiful aquarium display. Smaller than some locations, with a busy parking lot. The Bass Pro Shop in St. Augustine is a great store, though it’s a bit smaller compared to other locations I’ve visited—it doesn’t have a second floor or a restaurant. That said, the merchandise is laid out neatly and spaciously, making it easy to browse. The kids' carousel is a fun and unique touch, and the aquarium display is absolutely stunning and worth checking out. The only downside was the parking lot—it’s a bit chaotic, but I’m sure that will settle down over time. Overall, it’s a nice addition to the area and a great stop for outdoor enthusiasts and families.

This place looks like an amusement park for the outdoors lover. As you walk in, you almost have trouble just comprehending the size of the building. They have all your outdoor needs from clothing, guns almost as far as the eye can see, archery, camping and boating supplies, pistols, grills, 1000’s of rods and reels, and other things I didn’t even see. If you have kids, there is a kids area, a carousel, and a hug aquarium with lots to f fish to see. There are many mounted animal heads and scenes painted on the wall that make fell like you are in the wild. They have a whole campsite set up with a camper. I went during the Christmas season, so decorations were everywhere. I forgot to mention they have boats and atvs to check out…

The firearms department in this store, is probably one of the worst places in the country to purchase a weapon. You have to wait more than two hours before it’s your turn to speak to an employee, this happens to me twice in one week. However, today I scan the QR code to wait for my turn at 6:45 pm, the store closes at 9 pm. There were 11 people ahead of me in line and about 8 people behind me. I become 1st in line at 8:50 and at 9:03 the young male employee comes up to me and says can I help you with something? Yes, it’s my turn next to pick up a gun that I payed for and did all the paperwork and background checks a week prior. He said it’s past 9, you can’t pick it up today. I ask him why haven’t any of the 4 employees mentioned anything to me and the unfortunate 8 other people who have been waiting that we won’t be able to conduct business today, we’ve all been standing here the whole time. He replied, it’s not my problem, it’s store policy. I’m glad I found someone from customer service who could process a cancellation. I later called customer service to cancel the two other shot guns I ordered, this process took about 25 minutes but the nice representative offered me 5% off a future purchase. I kindly declined as I happy to go spend 5-10 thousand dollars tomorrow at any gun store with some level of respect for their customers. 30$ off a gun is not going win back someone who makes 500k a year. Do better Bass Pro St. Augustine, you’re loosing paying customers by conducting...

Went in to exchange an airport pistol and possibly sell a firearm. Maureen was a complete nightmare and control freak to deal with. Waited long times for coordination between employees for anything. Went to go talk to another associate and Maureen proceeded to YELL at my friend saying No No No!! I’m helping them. We told her we can speak to who ever was available about whatever we wanted to ask them. I told her that I didn’t appreciate her Yelling at anyone who came in here. She said that not all employees have an ear piece so they can’t be reached. I suggested for the store to run smoothly and to do better for all employees to have one to cut waiting times and she snapped back with “Our store already does very well” and I told her that was good and then asked for someone else to help us because I didn’t appreciate the backhanded sarcasm and she certainly did not want me to match her energy and she snapped off again and said there was nobody higher than the manager. I asked her again if someone else could assist us and she said sure but made sure nobody spoke to us. She made damned sure that stood right there as an intimidation tactic and wouldn’t move when the manager came up and helped us. Stubborn and sarcasm has no place in a lovely business like that. Everything was so beautifully orchestrated as far as merchandise and design. I was really impressed by the setup of it all. Maureen, have the day...

We came to visit this store for the first time and we are amazed and impressed. But the reason we were there is to check on the gun section but the visit didn’t end up well. I noticed that the people worked in that area pays attention to the people of their choice. We were looking around at the counter for awhile and saw them passing by us not even saying hi or anything, and not even asking if we’ve been assisted or not. As I was looking at the Smith & Wesson Revolver, I needed someone to come so that I can take a look at it and then, we stopped someone and ask them if he can ask someone to assist us, he told us that we have to scan the barcode to be on the line as if we are aware that we have to be on the line to be assisted, but because we needed help we signed up. However, 45 minutes have passed noticing my name still in the monitor and not being called yet and assisted. So, out of disappointment we decided to leave the premises and go somewhere else. I noticed that the staff was not very accommodating and helpful. They helped people with their preferences only. The place looks fancy but the customer service is biased and unprofessional. My first impression with the place was good for a little bit but it didn’t last forever because we wasted one hour of our time at the store not being assisted by anyone and it is very disappointing how they treat customer like us. This will be my...
