The atmosphere was nice. We seated ourselves. Once we were approached by a waitress to get a drink order, we were okay. When she came to take our order, she did not listen to what mt g/f said at all as she was ordering. I had to repeat her order to her.
I ordered a salad. I stepped away from the table, my g/f asked the waitress, not the one that took our order, to add her a salad to hers. When she brought her salad, she failed to bring mine.
When the food came out to eat, the baked potato never was brought out, the shrimp were cold to the touch (supposed to be grilled), the steak should have been medium rare, it was rare.
Grilled vegetables, seemed frozen and then burned on the grill. As we got someone's attention to come listen to our concern, re read that, we had to get someone's attention because the waitress never came back one time. When the woman that listened to our concerns finished we were told that they were busy, there were empty tables, and they were having issues in the kitchen.
They comped the surf and turf and took the meal from the table, so they should have comped it. I told her I was eating mine because I was hungry and we were 70 miles from anywhere open we could have a sit down meal. They comped two dinner salads, and the baked potato that never made it's appearance at the table. So we paid for my meal which was burned or not done enough, no happy medium. Amd the two teas we drank which were never seen by a waitress again.
The bill was still $47 and some change.
So the word comp, means it never showed up, and what did I am taking from you.
So, all in all, I would not...
Read moreHighly recommended, so we took a drive. When we ordered, we asked for bread. The server said it came with the meal and walked off. Not sure what that meant, but thought we'd get bread. Nope, had to ask the bartender who was not very friendly. The bread came out 1 minute before the food. The meat was overcooked, the vegetables were charred and the sweet potato was missing. I found the server and let her know. When she delivered the potato, she didn't bother to ask how the food was or notice that our water glasses needed to be refilled. We asked for the owner to let him know of our disappointment. He went to the servers first to get their story and then came to the table with an attitude. His response to our feed back was that they haven't overcooked a steak in over a year and that they never get complaints. Last I checked, no one is perfect. He then derogatorily asked if we were looking for s free meal. Nope, just better service. Realizing the futility of the situation, I asked him to take our credit cards so we could leave. He refused and declared he'd buy our meal since that's what we wanted. Again, no, we tried to pay. He also pointed out that we brought our own drinks, which is illegal. Why then did the server not point that out? BTW, it was water which was a good thing since the server never came back to refill our cups. Oh, and they blamed the bad service on a new computer...
Read moreReputation for this restaurant were really good. My wife and another couple drove over an hour for a nice evening of dining and fellowship. Nice enough place and food was decent. My challenge was the wait staff and the incessant sense of urgency. Taking plates before we were ready, brought dessert. Didn't ask if we wanted coffee just brought check with dessert. Got the feeling we were not welcome. Were not over 25% occupied, no wait line to get in so could not figure out what the hurry was for us to leave. We could have purchased more drinks and actually enjoy our evening. Instead. We drove over hour, 30 minutes for dinner and in the car for another hour home. It was a very awkward experience, not sure we...
