I had Steve Grant, the principal of Steve Grant Handyman Services for well over 1 year now as my go to contractor for everything under the sun (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, floor installation, roofing, masonry, chimney & fireplace services, general handyman services, etc, etc et al----steve is simply the greatest invention since the peanut butter sandwich 🥪😀! He is thorough, honest, unbelievably competent in all areas, reasonably priced, highly skilled, knowledgeable, communicative, really easy to talk to and work with. I will never part with him. I can tell you all that he will never steer you wrong. He has done epoxy floors, basement waterproofing work, major chimney repairs, gutter clean outs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, etc, etc for me. He is a thoroughly knowledgeable pro, easy to deal with, puts no pressure on you, is flexible, creative, artistic, smart as a whip and honest as can be. He is a real gem- a gentleman whom I recommend in the highest regard to anyone needing carpentry, handyman services etc. He stands head & shoulders above all the competition & he is really in a league of his own! He took it upon himself to advocate for me with town officials when I needed them to step up to the plate for me; he easily corrected a botched job done in the past & brought it up to par in a jiffy! He is reliable, gets the job done quickly, professionally, and painlessly! He always shows up on time as promised, has a great sense of humor, and is a lot of fun to be around as well. Steve might be a wonderful handyman but there is no way we will ever know. He failed to show up at the designated time for our first meeting and never called. When I reached out (after multiple phone calls), he said he was sick. Fine, not a problem, and we made an appointment for the following week. He came by, a half-hour late, looked at the jobs, and said he would send an estimate. The estimate never arrived. When I reached him again, after multiple tries, and after leaving voicemails, I let him know that we did not need an estimate but since he had given us his hourly rate, he could come by and work and would be paid that day. That day is today and he failed to show once again. I called and left a voicemail to no avail. We, in general, like to use smaller self-owned businesses but have never had the issues we have had with this one. Very unprofessional to not even leave a message saying he could not do the job or did not want to do the job or... whatever. He seems like a nice guy and seems to do good work, judging by others' comments. But I would not recommend him. We are back to square one after weeks of dealing with him, forgiving his past no-show and lack of responsiveness. I would steer clear of him. There are other people out there who want your business and who behave professionally. We will find one and reach...

Our master bath had very low water pressure in both the shower as well as the bathroom faucet! Needed someone to replace both - after some careful consideration, we Hired Steven’s handyman service and so glad we did! Steven and his helper worked very hard to make sure everything was done properly. Steven did a great job installing our new shower panel as well as our bathroom faucet!
