We had a good time at Black Bear Snow Tubing. We took our son, his wife and three granddaughters. Two of our granddaughters were under 4 so we took turns watching them at the playground which is conveniently located right beside the waiton line to tube. We should have arrived earlier than we did since you need to watch a short video, sign the waivers and then wait in line to check in; I'd say arrive at least 20-25 minutes before your scheduled start time. I'm glad we purchased the 2-hour tubing option since it was so busy the day we went and they only had one tubing lane open. We waiting about 15 minutes in between each ride; total of 7 rides for the ones that didn't help watch the girls playing at the playground. It was nice that they had a lift so you didn't have to take your tube up the hill yourself. Overall we had a good time; wish they had more tubing lanes so we could have gotten more trips...
Read moreWe booked reservations the day before and drove almost two hours to this place. When we got there, the weather was around 35 degrees but their tiny narrow bunny hill was all mud. When we got to the front they said "sorry, we didn't make enough snow" and gave us a refund. If this were a real business they would say "sorry that you came all this way and for for ruining your children's day, here is a free pass". Instead, we drove 2 hours home while my children cried.
Regardless, it cost us over $40 per person for this joke of a single tubing hill. Don't come here, it's not worth your time or money.
Edit: if you notice the unprofessional tone in the owners response, you'll know how unprofessional they are. In fact, my family didn't say a single word, we just left. Expect whoever you are talking about to leave another 1 star review because...
Read moreWe had the best time. We were late and the lady at the desk let us stay longer no extra charge since they were not very busy. Which was so appreciated, she did not have to do that. Very sweet. The staff were all so nice, the boys at the top of the hill, made sure we had a blast. The man at the bottom keeping the water trench going, was much appreciated for his hard work. The apple cider donuts were soooo good. Cute little inside area to warm up and have a bite to eat if you are hungry, nice porch to relax on, a play area for kids. My favorite part was the lift that pulled us back to the top, would not have wanted to walk that hill. We didn’t wait long at all in line. Moved very quickly.Slopes were fast, first time is a little scary, after that can’t get enough. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back....
