Fragment of the old bridge that has been preserved for fishing in Oregon Inlet. Updated parking area with port-o-potties and a trash bin. Some times of day the new bridge provided shade as you fish. Dogs are not allowed on the pier/bridge, but are allowed on the nearby Mountains to Sea Trail which goes out to the beach.

My daughter and I enjoyed it...lovely place to fish. Really nice facility, though the amenities are pretty bare bones and it's not near much. Make sure you bring everything you need or want (gear, food, hydration) or you'll be making a bit of a drive.

We had a great time! We saw some huge fish we had never seen before! Beautiful bright blue! Others were catching big sheepshead. We had never seen those either! ♥

Always a good time fishing here. Our sons loves it, even if we don't catch much or anything. When it's hot, the wind is a major bonus. If it's cold, then bundle up. =) We saw turtles in the water once, and that was...
