Lake Waccamaw Dam — Local services in North Carolina

We've been visiting the dam for years. It's an even better place to visit now that the bridge/pier has been built. The bridge connects Waccamaw Shores Rd to trails in the state park and provides a nice place to fish. It even has provisions for wheelchair-bound folks wanting to fish. Neat little boardwalk over the dam into a short trail through the woods. Saw a lot of trash along the trail. Saw some lizards, birds, and dragonflies along the dam.
