I brought my mother’s 12 year old computer into Lori because it was freezing and there was no memory left for windows to operate.
After examining the computer she told me that it was very old and I should probably get a new one but she would be able to get it working again. She also told me it was so slow because it was so old.
After she kept the computer for 3 days she called to tell me that she had freed up some memory and the computer was working. She dropped it off on my mother’s doorstep and I went to go and set it back up for her. The computer would not boot up. I brought it back to Lori and she told me the hard drive had crashed and there is nothing she could do to retrieve the data!!! I asked her if she did a backup before she worked on the computer and she told me “no why would I do that” I mean really she took so much time telling how badly I need a new computer I would have thought she would back up the info before she went to work on it. OR AT LEAST TELL ME I SHOULD I am not a computer person I had no idea O well shame on me for trusting a place I found on google maps.
All she told me was how it was not her fault very defensive….I was not even asking for the $100 I paid her back (not that she offered or anything)
DO NOT TRUST THIS LADY WITH YOUR COMPUTER!!!!! My mother who is 75 was writing a book that was on that hard drive now it’s gone! YES my mother should have backed up her own files but she is 75 years old and fights technology.
I can’t believe I trusted a complete stranger with this computer…………………..if you use this lady to “fix” your computer don’t say I...
Read moreI want to give a HUGE shout-out to Lori Tisinai and her firm Computer Concepts USA in Lake Bluff. She has now saved us twice in as many months! First, my husband's MAC was infested with mal-ware, key-tracking stuff (yikes!), viruses, and probably strep throat, too; she wiped out everything and started him all over from scratch, with all the good stuff left intact. Then, this week, in an especially busy time, my trusty old laptop (not MAC) over heated and, essentially, died. However, she was able to resuscitate it enough to retrieve all the data; advised me on a few options to buy to replace it; then loaded all my data back into the new machine, and set up all the nuisance stuff (like connecting to the printer, etc.) She did most of it remotely, so she was able to work on my computer while I wasn't even there, which was uber-convenient for me. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her services, her promptness, her trustworthiness and her understanding that CONVENIENCE is a primary business need. Oh, and it was all more affordable than I could have hoped. Simply...
Read moreMost comments probably boil down to "that's what they are supposed to do." You know, fix broken computers, upgrade equipment, or supply the best in software. But Computer Concepts and Lori do so much more. They take the time to explain what they are doing and why in words that people like me can understand. They don't simply tell me what to do or what I need. They help me make an informed decision. But they go even further. When my brother in law got caught in a scam, Lori and Computer Concepts got him out. When my system crashed, there they were. A word about pricing: these services are not cheap...they are fair but not cheap. If you want cheap, there are dozens of places waiting for your business. But if you want outstanding service backed by competent, dedicated, honest people, if you want peace of mind that the integrity and reliability of your systems are in safe hands, then look no further than Computer...
