I signed my daughter up for a 2 day robot coding camp for 6- 11 year olds. It was advertised as, kids get to program their very own snowman robot! Well, Instead it turned out to be, play with remote control cars, in a small stuffy room all day, with a 30 min break on the indoor jungle gym. The included food advertised was a crummy handful of popcorn or trail mix bars. That they ate in the same small room. I thought at least they would give the kids hot food, why not lunch from their onsite snack bar kitchenette? My daughter didnt want to go back after the first day, but i thought the second day might be better. Nope, day 2 was an exact repeat of day 1. It turned out being an Expensive 6 hour babysitter, and cost over 300 bucks for both days of this "camp"...plus they charged me extra for being 14 minutes late on pickup after 330 the second day. I asked my daughter where is your robot snowman? She looked confused, no there wasnt anything like that, and nothing to take home. Not even a picture of a snowman? Nope. They should be more accurate with their wording in their advertising, I was pretty disappointed with the overall content of the "camp". The only good part was one of the ladies who coordinated some of it that i met on dropoff and pickup was really nice and good with kids. But I would not recommend that particular"camp" especially not for 11 year old girls.
Update: the Ridge contacted me and tried to make things right. I appreciated Irenes efforts to understand my experience and her explanation of their side of it. She also took my comments to the contracted event organizer of the workshop to make sure there was a clearer description of the "camp" written paragraph so moving forward people can better understand what they are getting when they sign up. As it turns out, they did have pizza and chicken nuggets available for snack for the kids, it's just that my daughter was a fussy eater and didnt want that. Irene is really great with kids, she is very nice and she a real benefit to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe kitchen here is a HIDDEN GEM in Bothell. Reviewing just for the food because I havenāt experienced the activity center yet. I googled āsandwiches near meā and one of the top choices was the restaurant at this place. I was multitasking when I placed the order for a club sandwich and I realized it was an activity center after I submitted it. When I got there, my sandwich wasnāt ready because they didnāt see my order but I didnāt mind waiting. There werenāt many people around, and it only took 10 minutes or less. It turned out to be delicious! I was so pleasantly surprised. The bread was fresh and the meat was good. Itās the best sandwich Iāve ordered to go and my new go-to sandwich place. A few days later I ordered the Big Bad Wolf pizza (online again.) I tried to call with no answer and when I got there, they hadnāt seen my order. No big deal though, it only took 12 minutes. The staff was apologetic (both times), but again it was still quick. The activity center was much busier this day too. The pizza was also very good!! My husband is extremely picky when it comes to pizza and he even liked it. The dough must be made in house which makes all the difference. Itās reasonably priced too. My sandwich was $15 and large pizza $30 (after tip and tax.) I highly recommend the food here, Iāll be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATED REVIEW I've updated my review to reflect the changes made since our experience New water table area is amazing and much better than the previous setup! Brightness of climbing wall looks good! Sand isn't everywhere like before. Maybe you are being more proactive with cleanup?
Thank you for making these changes. You deserve 5 stars now.
INITIAL REVIEW Fun play area, water table, sand table, and food...until our last visit. Withholding 5 stars until the following is addressed: filthy water table with broken/leaky parts. Needs to be enclosed to keep water contained sand table is not enclosed by the main steps into the play area which means sand is everywhere on the steps. Need to enclose it like before projector for climbing wall badly needs a new bulb or have brightness increased significantly as it was unusable pizza crust was borderline undercooked still no value or family packs. 18/hr for over 2 years old is just not competitive with the other options in the area now. You can go to indoor trampoline places for $24.99 a person for an entire month (sky zone) or lower hourly rates with more activities...
