A Topsail tradition for 50 years!
If you're lucky enough to visit Topsail (pronounce it 'Top-sul' like the locals) or better yet blessed to live on the island, then you'd do yourself a great favor by stopping in at Andrews Produce. Located at the corner of Island Dr and 2nd Ave (NOT 2nd Street) and open 7 days a week (even holidays) in season, from 9am-6pm.
I always make a point to stop in multiple times a week for local produce and baked goods (get there early for the best bread selections) and the owners and staff make me feel like family. They have a good selection of fruits, vegetables, and jellies/salsas/sauces that makes sure you'll always find a little more than you planned on when you stopped.
Cash only, so be prepared, but they will hold things to the side if you need to make a dash back home to get some. Limited parking is available on site.

Read moreLovely people, sweet Silver Queen corn and a variety of delicious tomatoes, peppers and fruits that I recommend highly. But I simply must take away a star for the pluots. DO NOT BUY THE PLUOTS! These plum-apricot hybrids look a little like a Gala apple on the outside, but inside, the flesh is a tempting - nay, âtantalizingâ - shade of red that calls to mind the color of Bathshebaâs lips. But when you bite into one, your tongue is immediately covered from one cheek to the other, and from tip to uvula, with a mixture of plum and apricot flavors, while a subtle tartness makes the candy-like sweetness pop. You wouldnât like it. Fortunately for you, I, your humble servant, have volunteered to martyr myself by eating them all, so that you donât have to. 25 August 2020 Problem resolved satisfactorily; 5th...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped by today to check this place out, we always drive past and wanted to get some jam. When we got out of car we received some looks and no welcome or anything of that nature. No one engaged with us the 10 mins that we were looking at the produce. We also noticed signs EVERYWHERE that it was cash only. In this day and age not a lot of people carry cash anymore. There are smart apps and website that you could easily get to accept credit or debits cards, this would ensure more business. Having no cash on hand and no introductions we decided to leave. This was disappointing and we will never be back!
UPDATE: I saw that I had a notification from this review a couple of days ago and have not had the time to check it. Now all of the sudden the response is gone? This place is...
