Gypsy's Maritime Market — Local services in North Topsail Beach

Lady has always been rude to me so I stopped going there for the longest time. Went today to pick up a single Black and Mild and she refused my business because she said my NC state license looked “off” and because it says “not for federal identification”…because it’s a state issued license without the ‘Star’. She also said the picture didn’t look like me. She refused to scan it for authenticity or look at my other identification (I have a college ID with a more up to date photo). The picture of me on my license was taken when I was 18 and I’m going on 22 now, but it certainly still looks like me. Unfortunately, I would never recommend this place as the service is poor, the items are quite expensive, and they refuse business without probable cause. Take your business elsewhere. First and only time my ID has been refused since I got it! Sad this is my first Google review I have had to make. I always go above to support local business, but I will not be supporting this one and I grew up 1.5 miles down the road.

Love this Mom & Pop super friendly, neighborhood market !! A few dark beer selections would be greatly welcomed but at least they have Yuengling & Guiness !! Some advertising in the Village News might get them a little more business too !!
