Ok, I tried giving this place a chance several times now. If you are ok with the cashiers changing the prices as they please at checkout, then go there. This will be the 5th time I come to this shop, and EVERY SINGLE TIME they change the price of the items. The first time the item was literally marked with their tag for $3, and the lady said she "knew for sure" the price was "higher", so she called somebody else, and that person guessed it was $10 (that's a big difference, but I still bought it). Next time, the same thing happens with a backpack. The 3rd time, Jane (cashier) decided that button up shirt was considered a "sweater", and therefore priced it a few dollars higher. When I asked why? she replied with "you wouldn't wear a shirt under this?", to which I said no, she then replied "well that's a first (laughed), well do you want it or no?!" (super loud and rude). In the same trip she changed the prices of 4 out of my 8 items!!! What?! I had to ask each time, because their register does not have a display screen that would show you the price as it is being entered. My last trip, same thing happened, she changed a stuffed animal's price from 1 to $6 (the cost is displayed on the bin for $1 unless marked), she then made a remark to another lady that "someone must've taken the tag off" (which she had said a couple of times before). I asked for a pair of earrings, but because of what happened I told her I not longer wanted them, so she said "I wish I would've known that" with a total attitude. It is as if she can't believe I keep finding great items (I take my time, sometimes hours looking for good finds). Right before this, another customer was making a comment about the prices being way too high for a thrift store since most people that thrift cannot afford new items, and she loudly responded "that's not the clientele we get here, if you don't like it, you need to go somewhere else!" If a manager is reading this, please review the camera footage of 4/15/21. What I am saying is true, and unacceptable. I love thrift shopping and have never had a repeated issue like this locally. I am all for supporting our community, specially those who help others, but I will not return...
Read moreWe just. Left this thread shopped after we were racially. Profiled and discriminated against by a volunteer. The manager Ashley Spoke to the employee and defended her actions. Then proceeded to act like I was causing a scene and called a fake security person to come remove me and yelled at me. I never raised my voice at her and I called her shug Because i'm from the south and that's what we call people when we are speaking nicely to them. If you are a black or brown person, do not go to the Store.Because the manager Ashley, along with her sales associates. Will racially profile? You follow you around the store like you are stealing and then when you bring it up to them.Like true racist people do they act like they have no idea what you're talking about and then they act like you're the problem. Please go anywhere else and spend your money. These people do not deserve to be supported with these types of backdoor policies in place. As I am walking away, she says more derogatory.Things to me tries to get in my face and shrubs me.So I push her back and rip off her name tag and throw it across the store. I told her I would gladly wait for the police to come.If she wanted to reported surprisingly she did not. This is for the owner of that store. You need to get a new manager in place who knows how to d.Eescalate situations and how to handle a confrontation accordingly. I am from a big city.I have seen all kinds of walks of life and never have.I been treated so disrespectful by some one who claims to...
Read moreusually have decent experiences at this thrift store, both shopping and donating. However, my most recent visit was very disappointing. I arrived just a couple of minutes after the donation gate closed. Since I was literally pulling in as it was being locked, I asked the manager, Ashley, if I could still bring in the box I had. She told me yes. When I carried the box inside, the front desk staff immediately started yelling at me, even after I explained that the manager had given me permission. The manager then approached and made a very snarky remark, saying she thought it was a small box.
I was surprised at the lack of kindness, especially since I was donating a box of nice costumes right before Halloween — items I thought would benefit the community. The way the situation was handled left me feeling unwelcome, and even other customers who witnessed it commented on how rude the staff were. In the future, I’ll take my donations to...
