First off, I love all the sourdough bread! There are so many options to choose from (and I’m very indecisive), but you can also pre-order or make special requests for bread. I personally love the White Cheddar with Thyme and the French Toast.

She also does Funky Fridays, which is when she uses a variety of different cheese loafs; such as Smoked Bacon Gouda, White Stilton with Apricot, sun-dried tomato and basil cheese, etc. So if you are a cheese lover, like myself, please stop by on Fridays.

The Salted Shell also has a HUGE variety of homemade jams (peach, plum, strawberry, strawberry fig, blueberry, blackberry, etc.) She also carries fig and pear preserves, mock apple pickles (fan favorite).

I love the chicken and duck eggs. The duck eggs are excellent scrambled for breakfast! She carries non-gmo/grass-fed beef and pork sausages! Ask for the maple pinky links!!! And to top it off, she carries non-gmo grits!!!

I consume a lot of the raw cow’s milk. It’s great in coffee, or even making butter. It can be used for kefir and smoothies too. If you’re not big on cow’s milk, she carries goat’s milk as well. Along with goat cheeses and goat’s milk ice cream.

She also renders her own beef tallow and makes whipped tallow for skin care (works wonders for dry/cracked hands!) The tallow body scrub is a fan favorite along with the tallow self-tanner!

Now, with all of this being said, she does this right by HERSELF! From raising chickens to youngins. From working two jobs to make Facebook lives at 2am while baking bread. She is so dedicated to her business and I appreciate everything she does for us and...

The Salted Shell is a local, family-owned business that brings the family to the table. Not only do they sell delicious, fresh sourdough bread, but they also sell other products like peach jam. I'm still working through the peach jam I bought last time, but you can taste how fresh everything is. It's way better than from the grocery store, and I trust the people who make it not to add anything unnecessary. The owner makes each loaf of bread with clean ingredients and a careful process. I really enjoy the French Toast and the sweet sourdough options. Every time I'm in town, I stop by and buy something.
