Arrived at this venue excited because it looked like it would be a fantastic haunt. Paid for general admission because we go to several haunted houses and try to be selective about where we spend money for the VIP tickets. We were greeted on the Midway by a staff member who recommended that we start by going through Experiment 31 since the line was shorter and it was a smaller walk through than the House. We waited an acceptable amount of time at first but once we got to the front of the line, we stayed there, unmoving, for more than 45 minutes while the hostess completed emptied the VIP line. She probably took over 15 groups and wouldnât turn around and look at the general admission line until she was ready. Finally, our turn, we went into the building. Sets, make up, costumes and actors were all great (the only reason this review got 2 stars instead of 1) but we were shocked when we walked out in under five minutes. Well, we decided to head over to the House. Since Experiment 31 was said to be the smaller venue, we still had hope for a longer walk through. We got in line for The House and waitedâŚand waitedâŚand waited. We moved about 15 feet in the span of about 90 minutes. At the pace we were moving and the length of the line, it wouldâve been another 2 1/2- 3 hours more before we got in. Donât get me wrongâŚ.Iâve waited in a 2+ hour line beforeâŚ.for an amazing and lengthy haunt (usually an hour or more of walkthrough time) to follow. Weâve been to venues where the line was ten times this in length and still got through the queue in under 3 hours. We also didnât mind the wait because those venues had amazing live entertainment ranging from great bands to people spinning flaming spinning poles and ropes to spooks trying to scare us in line to free T-shirt tosses and in-line refreshments available for purchase. We got one actâŚthe act by itself was funnyâŚa twerking birdmanâŚbut horribly insufficient if itâs the only repeating actâŚwhich is what it was. I understand that we couldâve upgraded and got in faster and that makes more money for the group; however, it seems that they bank on people becoming frustrated with the general line and just upgrading. Itâs not right to disregard the general admission patrons. We refused to give in and upgrade. Instead, we just left and we...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. We went the Friday before Halloween. We were so excited to go I even purchased a fast pass so I wouldn't have to wait in line. They advertise that they have 6 attractions. We get there and they tell us that the trail is closed. So we thought oh just one of the attractions is closed. Turns out they count the trail as 4 attractions. They told us we could come back the next day and it would be open So we only got to go through 2 attractions which took not long enough for the amount of money I spent. I swear one house was like 5 minutes. And one of the actors crashed through one of the sets and broke a wall and busted a prop. They got back up and played it off so I hope they are OK. But still is the place put together with zipties? They also advertise that they would have sanitizing stations throughout the park. They had wet naps at the concession stand and thats it. The staff of the concession stand did not have any masks on there were 4 teens in there working close together making food with no mask. A lot of the actors had their masks over their mouths and not covering their nose. They advertise bonfires you can pay extra to have your own. They have fire pits not bonfires. Some props were misfiring and barely moving. I was in front for first attraction I think its called the house? Well I went through first and set the props off and the people behind me got to see the props multiple times I had to stop and turn around to see what it even was. So after it being so disappointing me and my friends were trying to decide if it would even be worth coming back the next day. So the next day we called ahead to see if the trail was even open and it wasnt...I spent $120 on me and my friends to go to this place and the most they could give me is 15 dollars back. And they said I'd have to mail them the tickets and then they'd mail me a check. I will never go back to this place it was such a huge disappointment. It ruined my halloween hands down. I will definitely never recommend this place to someone. Triple B boo barn has...
Read moreWent for the Valentine's Day fear fest, for the second year in a row. First thing I gotta say, my fiance and I go to multiple haunted houses every year, and the first thing that sticks out here, are the actors. The costumes are top notch, but the interactivity of the actors inside, and especially outside of the attractions is second to none. We frequent the attractions closer to Pittsburgh during the Halloween season, and none of the big name scares in the area have such quality as haunted hills. They interact with you, take pictures with you, pose with you, all while doing little skits and scaring guests who are waiting in line or doing other stuff on the grounds. Most other places won't allow you to even get near the actors and they certainly don't interact with you in this capacity..
The haunts were even better than the year before. They did not disappoint with the sets, or costume design, especially in the main house. Out of all the places we've been to together , the last 6 years, I can honestly say this place is worth the drive, and we have yet to experience it during the Halloween season, which we are looking forward to doing this year. For a couple like us, who love haunted houses and all things scary, the fact alone that these guys do off season events like this, and the Saint Patrick's day event, and have even done Xmas events, show the pure dedication of the team.
All in all it was an amazing experience for the second year in a row. 10/10. If I had to pick something I thought they could improve on , I would have to say the cupids love den scare could maybee have a few more scares in it, we thought it was good still, but maybee it's because the main house was just so well put together it gave the love den a high point to reach that I don't think any attraction would be able to match lol.
Highly recommend this place, and will definitely be returning for the st Patrick's event and we are looking forward to our first year attending during Halloween season. The drive from the city is long but...
