Buntrock Commons — Local services in Northfield

If I could give Buntrock Commons 100 stars, I would. Our genealogy group is hosting an event at St. Olaf College in August. Buntrock Commons contains, or is connected to, everything we need to make our event a success: theater seating for up to 200; a gorgeous library; Norwegian archives; a coffee shop; and The Cage that serves a wide variety of fresh and wholesome entrees plus burgers, sandwiches, soup, salad, dessert, and lots of beverage choices. Stav Hall is an expansive dining area connected to The Cage that has tall ceilings and windows overlooking campus. Casual seating, restrooms, and elevators are conveniently located on every floor. Two members in our group met with specialists from several areas: the archives, the library, and the events planning center. Everyone was very informative and helpful. When hosting a multi-day event, lodging on campus is sometimes an option. Otherwise, hotels, the Cannon River, historic sites, bars and restaurants are one-mile...

College visit & tour. Needed more signage. Tours should have shown more inside of buildings & classrooms. Our group was too large to hear properly if not at the front. No options offered if anyone was unable to walk stairs or...
