Hall's Cold Storage Prcssing Plant — Local services in Northport

Halls is owned by a Marine Veteran and has been around for many years, so as a retired veteran myself I hate to have to give a bad review of his product. I recently bought a cow and the Farmer took it to Halls to be processed. It came in at 480 pounds hanging weight. I paid a few thousand dollars for this product and expected to receive a good return on my investment. Unfortunately when I picked up my butchered cow it was far from what I expected. The attached picture is supposed to be Ribeyes. I think it might be sirloin but it looks horrible… Imagine inviting your friends over for dinner and serving these cuts of meat. Quite embarrassing. No attention to detail no pride in their work product. You get what they dump into your cooler.

Additionally, the cut sheet I provided to the farmer was not followed. I received the cuts Halls wanted to cut not what I requested and paid for. I did not receive a brisket at all. I did not receive any skirt steaks that I requested. I did not receive any top round steaks that I requested. I did not receive any flank steaks that I requested. I requested my ground beef to be in 2 pound packaging. It came in 1 pound packaging. I requested the tallow and received none. I received 8 small cuts of fillet which for a whole cow seems weird because I get more than this off a deer’s backstraps. I received four small packages of short ribs. I haven’t unwrapped the rib roast “prim rib”, but I’m sure the bones have been removed based on the packaging. I received 6 roast. I received eight New York strips. But I did receive a whole bunch of ground beef. I have attached a picture of the cut sheet.

My feedback is if you want a cow processed the way you want it and pay for, find a different processor than Halls. I feel like a lot of my prime cuts were ground Into hamburger meat. Also, if you want a cut of meat that you can be proud of serving friends and family go somewhere else to have your...

These guys got me in last minute and had it all ready and packages up in just a couple of day. Very nice to work with, and affordable. I will be using them again...
