The Mustard Seed is a super cute spot to go for gifts and apothecary needs! My partner and I don’t know much about herbal medicine but we’re looking for a gift for my mother who is very into holistic health and wellness. The dark haired associate who helped us was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a tour of the apothecary side explaining the layout and uses for many of the products. She helped us select a gift for my mother, father-in-law, and a couple of products for us as well. On the “store” side there is a good selection of books on herbal medicine, crystals/rocks, journals, and other cute giftables. I was able to find a very cute leather type journal for my best friend for $25. The spice selection is also incredibly impressive and includes spices not commonly found other places at both a better quality and price point. We can’t wait to call in a spice order to fill up our spice rack! In the past I’ve felt uncomfortable in stores similar to this for being unfamiliar with the products but the atmosphere here was so pleasant and the staff so kind that I would encourage anyone to visit. The prices for herbs, teas, and spices are very affordable. Thank you to The Mustard Seed for cultivating an inclusive and helpful environment! Can’t wait to...
Read moreVisited this store for the first time yesterday, and was pleasantly overwhelmed by all the things inside. They have a lot of choices for teas, herbs, and botanicals (I know where I'm going next time I make my own tea blend). They also surprisingly had a small yet respectable amount of Buddhist items such as incense, candle holders, statues, and candles. If you meditate and need items to help with chakra balancing (like kundalini), this would the place to go! I myself am on the Buddhist path and it was very welcoming to see Kwan Yin represented. (She is a Chinese Buddhist bodhisattva).
I ended up purchasing a few stones, tea, and some yarrow. However, I most certainly will return when I need to get supplements. They also had some books that looked promising (on herbalism, kitchen witchery, and aromatherapy).
The woman assisting us was also very kind and gave us some good insight for the upcoming new moon (today).
I was probably a little too excited by the stones, as I did not expect seeing any, and now my altar space has six new allies to help.
Overall, it's a seriously cool store. If you're in the area, stop in! I noticed they are going out of their way to be safe, and they also have an option for picking up items if you ordered over the...
