Olomana Orchids Inc — Local services in Oʻahu

My dad has been coming to Olomana for over two decades and I've now rounded out about nine years of visiting whenever I'm in Oahu from the Mainland. If you have the time, visit the north side of the island and walk among the hundreds of plants they have. It's quite lovely, even if you are unsure you will purchase a plant.

I had a lovely time talking with Peter, the owner, who was on hand to help pick out an orchid to have shipped to Oregon. The owner answered all of my questions about orchid care and provided wonderful suggestions on what kind of orchids are good and hardy for beginners, and which varieties will thrive based on my living situation. Peter asked about humidity, which direction windows faced to help ensure appropriate amounts of light for my plant, and asked about what other kinds of plants I had at home and their vitality to help guide me towards the best kind for my vitality and skills.

Olomana will ship orchids to the continental US and will even delay a shipment to ensure your new orchid will arrive once you have returned from your visit to Hawai'i. Shipping was reasonable for such a beautiful handcrafted cultivar, and if you are interested in more than one plant being shipped, Olomana will help ensure the shipping covers more than one orchid to make it more cost effective.

They stand my their plants and will replace orchids if they arrive frozen or damaged from shipping. I cannot recommend them...

Placed an order for delivery on Oahu and Theresa made the extra effort to have the orchids sent out for next day delivery. There was a problem with FedEx/UPS delivery, which would have delayed the order over the weekend. Peter made the extra effort to have the orchids delivered the next day on Saturday. The gorgeous orchid gift basket was received with rave reviews. Olomana Orchids are excellent as they provide what is most desired in a nursery/florist - beautiful plants/blooms and reliable customer service. Thank you, Olomana Orchids, for providing sunshine...

My boyfriend and I went to Olamana Orchids the very day of a dear friends memorial service as we offered to bring a total of 29 flowers to place on each table, being so last minute we were afraid we wouldn't be able to pull it off & yet the family greeted us & immediately began helping us to get exactly what were hoping for and at an incredibly fair price. Lastly, they took the time to explain the care instructions for the orchids & answered any questions we had! In closing, it also feels great to shop local & help our neighbors businesses! Mahalo...
