I am VERY UNHAPPY with JC. Tried to work with them to develop a custom piece of jewelry for my wife. They seemed to understand what I wanted when we first met (mid August) but then when I received the piece, it was not quite right. I was bummed as I was hoping to have it late September. They understood and were willing to fix it; wanted to get it right. BUT, following that meeting they never called me for updates or when the piece was ready for review. Two months later I stopped by and they seemed to have totally forgotten what I wanted. After talking g with them again, I got them to understand and thought we were good. Two more months with no updates! Went back in again and they at least had a wax mold for us to test, which was finally close but needed a few minor adjustments. Thought we were finally in the home stretch. NOPE! THREE months go by and no call or update that it’s ready. Went back in and they could not find my order. They even asked if I had already picked it up. After checking all over and talking with the jewelers, they finally figured it out and told me it would be ready in 30 minutes! WHAT! Why didn’t you work on it after we talked over three months ago! From the one piece I did get to see, the quality of the jewelry is good but their ability to communicate is HORRENDOUS. I’m so frustrated that it’s now taken NINE months to make a piece that I was told would be ready in a month. I’ve used JC’s for watch batteries and to size a bracelet. Everything went well so I asked them to do a custom ring for me with the materials from a ring I inherited from a family member. I brought it in in March and was given a 6 week turnaround of April 15. Well that day came and went with no communication. I stopped in April 17 to pick up the ring but they told me it wouldn’t be done for another two weeks. I was bummed but understanding. They said their jeweler was a bit backed up. I asked them to keep in contact this time and let me know whether or not it was done in two weeks so I didn’t stop in for no reason. Well that day came and went and I heard nothing again. I called the store and they told me they just needed a few more days. This process of new deadlines that were never met and lack of communication continued on for four more weeks. They kept telling me they were so close and almost had it ready. After about the fifth deadline change, I finally asked to get my money and my materials back. I was told it was such a shame because they were almost done with the ring. When I went up to pick up my materials everything was exactly as it was when I dropped it off back in March. I know they had been doing some design work on their end, but Nothing else had been done to the actual ring. I was so upset because now I have to start over. Will never go back or trust their opinion again. I took my husbands watch in, took about 2 weeks for them to determine the problem and let me know. Once I approved of the work and estimated cost they proceeded with ordering the part. So far so good. Two weeks later I had not heard anything so I decided to call and get an update, female tells me the part just came in and they will begin work soon. Called the next week and was told by a gentleman that the part just arrived and they were just starting on it. Bit confusing when I thought the part arrived the previous week. So I wait and another week goes by with no word from them, call to get an update and it is still being worked on. By this point I’m irritated and tell them I will be picking it up on Monday whether it’s done or not. Come Monday I go in and they are just finishing it up says the part they ordered didn’t fix it and the part they need to fix it is no longer made. So I call the manufacturer and lo and behold the part is still made, so I’m now sending my husbands watch to true professionals who I know will fix my watch without all the hassle. Six weeks wasted on them, waiting for them to do nothing but give me the run around and lie about the part not being made not to mention the communication with them was non existent unless I called.
