Ive had other minor issues here but nothing like this! On my birthday I went to this “salon” with a plan and back up plans.( I have back up plans to AVOID things like this but some people are just…. Yeah) She lied and refused me looking at another color book, it was only after her and her coworker was standing in front of me pointing and talking about me that she then got up and came back with two books which she threw at me without saying anything (after she said, she only has one book in the store). I was getting acrylics and after the color was on it was lighter than I was expecting. She said it was because it’s for dip nails not acrylic, which she didn’t tell me and she got upset that I didn’t like the color after she left out information. Also, I’m confused on why she was having me look at colors she knew 1. I Wasn’t going to like. And 2 is not for my nails. Plans were not working, I was trying to come up with a new design and color pattern last minute to ACCOMMODATE to them! I don’t know if she didn’t want to do all of the work like if she just wanted a simple color, maybe the girl felt embarrassed that she couldn’t do anything I wanted, but that is still no excuse for how she treated me. She insulted me and told me I was wasting her time. She told me I was being extremely difficult because I didn’t know what I wanted when I came in (I was ready the store was not.) She sat there and tore me down while I cried(I am not one to cry in public, I try very hard not to get emotional and to just breathe so for me to sit here, snotty nose, make up running down my face, shaking, crying it was BAD!), after I told her she was making me uncomfortable and that I wanted to leave she got more mad! When I went to leave, she attempted to charge me a full set, the audacity and frustration made me cry more, I told her I’m not paying for a full service I did not receive, she said she would make my total $10. That did not happen. They refused to fix it. I’m still in awe of this woman’s “professional” behavior. Hopefully the BBB can get them sorted out, if...

Ive been a loyal regular of this shop for six months. New sets, fills, pedicures all go to them.
I went in 7/27/24 to have a fill done and a trial run for a design for a wedding i have coming up. It was a good experience per usual and i left happy.
By monday the first nail chipped. I didnt think any of it, just figured i had hit it on something to cause the damage so i filed it down and went on about my way. By wednesday, i lost a CHUNK on a second nail. On thursday, i lost anoyher hunk out of a third nail. So thursday evening i went in to talk to someone about it. I just wanted them fixed. I paid sixity dollars for a fill because they have "art" on them (its little leaves and steams with glitter). The same woman that did them offer to fix ONE of them and accused me of waiting too long to come in.... (today is 8/1/24, less than a week). She told me that women that type all yhe time break nails this way and it isnt her fault... i dont even work with computers nor are these issues on my dominant hand. The salon was full of people. I didnt want confrontation, i just wanted the issues fixed so i didnt have to get a whole new set less than a week later. After she continued to argue with me i gave up, told her id just let someone else do them and left.
I dont understand why youd not want to keep a loyal, consistent customer ober an issue that would have taken 5 minutes to...
Read moreGift certificates are not legally allowed to expire in the state of Illinois. Only honored the gift certificate because I brought this up (it "expired" 5 days ago). Wanted to only honor half the amount. Then said after my service today, the remaining balance would be gone. Then finally decided to honor the full amount. I had my 10 year old sit at the front instead of standing behind me, she told me I could have him sit on the floor. Then the lady who did my nails rounded half of them when I keep them squared. When I pointed this out she flipped her hand in my face and made an "ahhht ahhht" noise at me. When she finally fixed it, half of my nails are shorter. Some nails are crooked. So they want to violate state laws and then mistreat you and do a crappy job. I never want to come here again but should I throw away $100? Also should add, pretty sure this was the owner.
Edit to add: Pointing to the floor and saying that my son can sit there, is not treating him with respect.
Sticking your hand up in someone's face for asking for squared shape is not respectful. Lying to BBB saying I threatened to sue, is not respectful. I never insinuated or said that I would sue. Do not...
