Beach Pantry – Oak Island, NC What a great little hidden gem! We’ve stayed at Oak Island many times before, but this trip we were on the opposite side and discovered how nice and convenient it is having the Beach Pantry just around the corner. From aluminum foil to Bold Rock cider to propane exchanges they’ve got most of the little odds and ends you might need—without having to make the 3 or 4-mile trek to the bigger stores. Sure, it’s “only” 3 or 4 miles, but with traffic it can take 15–20 minutes. This shop saves the day and makes vacation life just a little easier.

Everything overpriced and don't go over there with a debit cards unless you plan on spending $5 went there for a soda I was on my way to Highway 211 last place in town on the Westside to get something went to get a soda that is all I wanted but I could not use my debit card I did not have cash on me so I kind of left the soda on the counter and said thank you very much because of the $5 minimum charge for debit not very people friendly either I will not go there again

Solid beach spot, lots of the poor reviews are definitely unwarranted. Yes, the prices are convenience store prices, but the beer selection was solid, and there was also a great ice cream selection.

I had parked my car for 10 minutes to go around the corner with a friend to look at a house. I came back and was entering the store to make a purchase . I said good morning to the Asian man. He asked about my car and said he was getting ready to have it towed. No parking! Went into a rant, so rude. I told him I was a local and we shopped at his store. He kept on, didn't I see his sign on the side...customers only. I told him no, I was sorry. He kept ranting, his wife looked embarrassed. I did not make a purchase. I told him I would never step foot in his store again. He told me to get out of his store. I was one of 3 cars in the lot, it's November and cold and gray. While it is convenient I will not support a business that treats customers so rudely. And I am a...

Great place for a quick stop in to grab a last minute snack on the way to the beach for the day. And for the people groaning about the $5 minimum. You do realize that the store has to pay for the system to process card payments. So there’s only so many solutions. Either do the $5 minimum for a card. Charge you a surcharge percentage on your purchase, which you’ll probably gripe about. Get rid of the system and go cash only, which you’ll probably gripe about. Or increase their prices, which you’ll definitely gripe about. So either carry cash or buy a drink and a snack and shut up. Small businesses have it hard enough right now without the nasty reviews over your whiny petty nonsense. This place is excellent with great...

I went to this store earlier today. In the past i have shopped there frequently and welcomed the new owners to the neighborhood. I went in to buy soft drinks. I usually buy 12 packs. They were out of both kinds so I decided to purchase a few singles. The owner of the store told me that my pruchase was below their minimum $5 for credit card even though i explained to him that he was out of the larger item and asked him nicely to make a one time exception. I don't carry cash and this was a new policy he turned around anx ignored me. I don't care if I have to drive past this store to go to another. I won't do business with...
