Old Mill of Guilford — Local services in Oak Ridge

Now that I am a transplant northerner I often bake cornbread with The Old Mill of Guilford cornmeal my mother has been sending north to Vermont to me for the past year and a half, until I used my last bag up last week and had to substitute some Jiffy cornmeal into my recipe, and frankly it just wasn't the same. That is what landed me to the google search to find if it were possible to order the cornmeal online. Well, sure enough it was and so now just less than a week later my online order arrived on my doorstep this morning! I am so pleased with the prompt shipping/delivery as well as the shipping package used by your company that I felt the need to spread the word. I forgot to update - it's been 3 months now haha. I didn't like the sweet potato biscuit mix. If you ever seen the buzzfeed videos where they get people to try other people's food, you know exactly what I'm referring to when I quote this " Where’s the flavor? i don't taste sugar, the cinnamon, the nutmeg. I DON'T TASTE ANYTHING'" That's what came to mind when I tried the biscuits. They were plain and didnt taste much different than regular biscuits. So, I took off one star.

A very cool place to go. Our Airbnb host told us to check it out if we were into baking. They have a wide selection of premade mixes and jams. I bought the sweet potato biscuit mix and a jar of F.R.O.G jam, can't wait to try them out. I'll update with some pics of...

This place had been recommended by a few friends who shop there and it was a delight when I arrived. What a beautiful historic site and I was super excited to be there. I walked in and was approached by an old lady. I advised her that I do Google reviews and would love to take some pictures of the building to post online with feedback on my experience shopping there. The response wasn't "No"......it was ABSOLUTELY NOT :-( So I got my pancake mix and whizzed out of that place like a roadrunner.
