I did this hike as my first ever hike and it was truly memorable for all the right reasons. We started off at the Yosemite Valley Lodge at 5:30am and hiked up to the Yosemite Upper Falls before heading off to Eagle Peak. The views were amazing, and the hike was very enjoyable, however it’s certainly not an easy hike. I was in a party of 6, it was 14 miles and 10 hours of hiking, along with a few rest stops for pictures and snacks. Tip … bring plenty of water and snacks, plus spend time on the stair-master and on the elliptical before you try this hike.

PSA of you're thinking of doing this hike in early April without snowshoes and spikes, it is quite the pain. My ego was telling me to do it but at what cost. The view is beautiful, though!! Looking forward to doing this again when the snow melts.
