We had the privilege of witnessing the sunset amidst the lush green valley, and it left us in awe. However, keep in mind that the parking lot is quite small, accommodating just a handful of vehicles, though it's rarely full. Please respect the signage and avoid parking on the road, as it can pose a danger to traffic.

Valley of the Yosemite (or Valley of the Yo-Semite) is a painting by Albert Bierstadt from this location the original is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. I had a print of same hanging over my fireplace in Ireland for years with a desire to visit in person. As good as the view from Glacier Point is a bit higher up in Yosemite, I love the view from here just a bit better. It's less threatening and more peaceful if that makes sense. The real life view did not disappoint as can be seen from my photographs and the view has just got better since Bierstadt painted his masterpiece back in 1864....
