I was completely surprised and did not expect to come across this little outhouse as we were hiking up to little Yosemite valley considering how far along the trail we were. This appears to be a fairly new addition to the trail and though I didn’t personally use it, judging from all the other outhouse at Yosemite and by its outer appearance it’s well maintained and the thought of using it shouldn’t make you cringe in regret. I actually have to complement the park service for implementing a solar power system to breaking down the human waste as well as for building top quality outhouses that are well ventilated and maintained. Typically outhouses like this require getting pumped out by a septic truck which needs to have access to the location.
