This is the Old Inspiration Point. You can sit here on a glacial carved granite seat and share a moment with the spirit of Yosemite. If you set out to do this hike know what are getting into. There is no signage nor marked turn off of the Pohono trail to find the real old inspiration point. Traveling southeast on the Pohono trail leaving from tunnel view at about 3 miles and within 150 yards of crossing Artist Creek as you are walking up a steep incline the Pohono trail will make a 90 degree right turn.
