The Depot is where you park your vehicle upon arrival to the Welcome Plaza 2 miles away from the Mariposa Grove. From here you take the free shuttle service into the grove where you are dropped off at the Arrival Area and begin your entry into the Mariposa Grove on foot. At the Depot you will find toilets, a gift shop as well as a large sequoia slab and other information related to the sequoias and grove in general. Everything is still rather new and spruced up with the grove having only reopened last summer (June 2018).

A vastly improved experience for newbie hikers, walkers and ADA visitors. We went farther. A spectacular sight abound practically every turn of the trail. Can also be for moderate and above hikers. Have to mention Sequoia...
